At the end of the season would be enough to finish quite a few fans off why do we have to be generally shyt at what ever level we are at. For the last 20 years or so we have been turd bar a few blips. For once, why can't we take a league by the scruff of te neck. Today wad so depressing. A team so slow and narrow it was painfull. Brentford were awful, the ref was awful, saints were awful. Footall is supposed to be entertainment an I fear a relegation fight at the end of this season will ne enough for a lot of fans we are so shocking it was quite funny... I still can't decide what was worse... Brentford or the fact we could not beat them at home

James was good today apart from the goal and their player never strolled past him, he beat him for pace when in full flight and James was from a standingish start

Duckhunter I never saw sagga stroll around today he did the exact opposite on fact

That ref was awful.... Is this what is the standard in league 1... God help us

Agree well looked far more of a threat with sagga I think the singing for him was to try and spur him on to score

that sums it up for me.. I remember his testimonial game...it actually brought a tear to my eye, especially when that bit they did on the screen and wasnt it with "I did it my way"..?...I dawned on me, right there and then, that it was over.. for god knows how many years, I went to games as a kids just wanted to get his autograph, shake his hand, hell, even for him just to say hello to me...he meant that much and I really cannot find ANYONE my age who is any different who is from southampton, saints fan or not.. sure he was not perfect and I remember being in the milton singing a song to take the mick out of him (all in good jest as matty gave a thumbs up).. we all had our frustrations when he had an off game...but over the years, he made football for me worthwhile..isnt that the whole point..? for all the lescotts and adebeyors, I really felt he was ONE OF US...I dont care that he supported spurs as a kid..i would put my mortgage on it that he is a proper, full on saints fan now... im coming home to southampton today, and it is so pleasing to see that there have been/are big queues for his book, im sure he does not need reminding but it shows, even now, after the last few years, what he means to t he avergae joe from millbrook to chilworth... I am not gobsmacked by 19C posts about him as it is to be expected...I am utterly appalled and to be honest, am COMPELETELY GUTTED that someone from or who supports southampton can think like that about an ex player who was an idol for an entire generation, and more.. :smt085

I could not care if Matts book was written by a 3 year old.. he was an absolute legend for me, and someone who I admire, adored, and respected throughout my saints supporting life...he is the ONLY one to get all that from me and so many... could not give a flying if he was involved in pinnacle as he has made my admission fee to a game wirth every penny on so many occasions

trouble is...so many wanted the pure football.. you only have to look back (or remember) the endless abuse at the thought of billy davies being manager (when a few of us touted him).. the abuse he got on here was all down to his style, despite it being a prven success in the CCC.... Like u have said before... Have read slot of reaction from oher on the web. One common theme to many views who agree with him being released is that it was the opposite to what the yanks want. Nothing more. Clearly not all think that but it is a common theme
