this is what I dont get....not as if it is coming out of our pockets..? do people flutter an eye lid when they see tiger woods top of the sporting rich list...or david beckham playing league 1 or CCC standard and being paid £250k a week in a league where it DOES effect the other players due to centra contracting etc... or when will smith gets another £25m for another crap comedy???

well....for years people have been saying a "big club will go"...yet to see anyone get close...probably because somewhere there are people stupid enough to put silly money into a club... how is it bonehead when I THINK that this is a one off deal....would be no different should real ACTUALLY bid for ronaldo or if anyone is stupid enough to bid for messi... this is not a city thing...just what it takes to get one of the player in a very exclusive club... IMO..the only other players that would command a situation like KAKA is.. ronaldo gerrard messi those players would take £100m to get (unless of course their club want to sell and/or they are running out of contract)

I see what you mean stmarco...but do you not think that the new money city will bring to the rnglish game that will in one way or another benefit us is a good thing in this current climate... people have been saying these rich people will walk for ages...have not seen a club implode as yet...infact, we have imploded and we are a fecking PLC... also, still waiting for SISU to fold like the predicitions too... you say about teams getting beat by so much..etc...but that has always been the case in the last 15 years or so...not seen that many maulings etc..

well in that case...neither is tiger woods, or lewis hamilton or roger federer...we are not talking about city here bring in any old foreigner and paying him over the odds...we are talking about city bringing one of the very best players on the planet in the most popular sport....not as if all of a sudden benjani will get his wages doubled now...this is a one off..and only kaka with 2 or 3 other players would command such a situation..
