who is out on the beer/cider/babysham/loopy juice later then? for all its faults, plymouth is a cracking day/night out bank holiday weekends especially on the Barbican...for those who know the area will know what I mean.. I will be off out in a bit...anyone else?
-
you say that..I remember nearly every man and his dog said on here that we did not have the players to play like we did.. it must be bad when you are the most successful manager at all time at one club and the fans think you are out of your depth and past it...which is sadly the case down here in Plymouth and bums on seats reflect that...9900 turned up yesterday for a home game....and we think we have problems.. Plymouth will do very well to stay up unless they change manager..and quick
-
I also like the fact Jan said before the game that he knew what this particular fixture meant to the fans because of what happened before and would try to put it right...!!!!
-
they play god awful football..alot of their fans think luggy is out of his depth we on the other hand are playing great football and are easily more skint!!!! I would be very surprised if luggy is in charge by xmas...he is a very poor manager at this level...most saints fans think that he is great after a few games in the prem with largely someone elses players...
-
i have to say...soccer AM is really boring now.. it was hillarious when lovejoy and hells bells did the show...now it is plain dull with the same gags being drawn out..
-
mate..plymouth have also signed a few players in the last year too...all luggys choice may I add. but then, what would I know, living in plymouth en all.. Edit. Luggy has siged 10 players...all his choice...and now he wants BWP...woooooooooooosh
-
yep...against Ipswich..we won 3-1 I think

Shipperley at Old Trafford in the FA Cup Quater Final (I think) we were more than a match for them and shipps had the ball over the line but it was never given.....it would have put us 1-0.... we lost in the end i think to a Cantona goal if I remember rightly... I was there too. also, Kevin Phillips hitting the inside of the post at Fratton when they beat us 1-0...SHOULD he have been 3 inches more accurate im sure they would have been gutted and not gone on to that amazing run they di to the end of the season to stay up...I think I would have lost all bodily functions should that have gone in...

like saying Benali was treat appallingly when he was dropped/sent on loan when bridge hit the scene..
-
NP won 3 games in 17 or so...arry got slated for doing more in that time.... NP is not a great manager at all...we had the tools to be out of the mire before the last day of the season..
-
mate. i live down in plymouth and it is widely accepted that luggy inherited ollies team and he just kept it ticking over...I (and many down here) always maintain that when he has his own team (like this season) they will do well to stay up...ffs, he think the answer to his goal scoring problems is BWP!!!! he really is a poor manager above league 1....he was also sacked at wednesday in this league too...
-
as for plymouth v swansea I told you all we will see what a poor manager luggy really is.....
-
oh, i see you have an accurate source...

60% possession 13 corners..:smt033

I dont think I have ever watched a programme that makes me want to smash the telly in as much as this talk about 4 blokes talk crap and believing their own belief of self importance.. what a bunch of *****s
-
"You've obviously got selective memory loss, as I seem to recall a large proportion of the fan base saying that they were happy with Pearson and that Lowe would be a mug if he disposed of his services." fans change their minds...why roll the eyes...many fans were happy when arry was appointed, when burley was appointed... we move on and get on with it.... jeeez
-
and you know that how? because a few people have been laid off? I know that many share holders who could not wait to et lowe out voted him back in.... does not sound like an un-united club to me.. or are you talking about lowe-crouch/lawirie mac? where and on what do you actually base such a statement on???
-
no, they were talking as if they had the job fo rthe foreseeable future...and I believe crouch said such things without actually giving them the "title" of managers when pearson came in it was all a rush job after the bristol rovers game... also, I dont think ANYONE is talking about wiping the slate clean with lowe, just fans (who slate him quick when he is wrong) are big enough to acknowledge that this may be a good thing for the club....in my book, he still has a lot to do to right many wrongs but this is a good start IMO
-
I bet you gavecrouch credit for pearson...even though crouch appointed TWO lots of managers!! I could not care less about the politics..all i care about is what happens on the pitch and rightly, will praise and thank those in charge should this pay off as much as I will be ****ed off should it go wrong...
-
indeed....that was my whole point if fans (and they do) give lowe ****e for when it goes wrong, surely they have to praise him should this crazy little set up go right....
-
although I agree with you wes, lowe has gotten an awful load of crap in the past due to poor manager choices...So, it is only right that he gets SOME cradit when he gets it right and if he gets it right in a big way he should be applauded accordingly... Yes, he had no choice but go for the cheap option but that does not mean Jan WAS THE ONLY OPTION.... also, lowe did want this set up two years ago and for what ever reason we got burley, which I know 99% of fans were exstatic about...
-
jermaine wright will not know what to do when the pace and skill of our forwards are at him.. poor wright..:smt046
-
WOW...what an impact this guy is having on our club already... I was not too unhappy that pearson went but was dreading this set up when it first arrived as it stank of Lowe wanting to do this to make a point as he wanted this set up two years ago...and harped on about using the kids etc.. but boy, Jan the man sure knows what he is doing BIG TIME....puts any pearson/burley team into pale insignificance... also, with some fans bemusement, he even states he wants another striker and after today, fans are agreeing with him... I went to the west ham game and left the ground shell shocked on how well we played and the style.I just hope those 'stay awayers' come back and see what brilliant football he has produced with a bunch of reserves and kids.. hats off to you sir, well done and thanks for all this good stuff we are seeing.. I think I speak on most saints fans behalf when I say we are litterally gob smacked on how well you have transformed our club...
-
dont forget, lowe wanted this "set up" before burley arrived but was under pressure to "get a name" when burley was available.. makes you sick to think we have wasted the last two years...
