I am stunned that people actually think dropping lambert is in any way a good idea J rod looked ok but had zero goal threat. Has he had a shot on target all season? Also, on lambert... When we go into a game needing to score at least 2 to get a point... When would it be ever a good idea to drop your top scorer and someone who sets ups a fair few clear cut chances??? Just cannot believe it
-
im talking generally.....but I thought when we broke, we piled forward and our wide players constantly offer hardly any protection...guly, lallana and at times puncheon, go walkies.. believe it or not, I think puncheon is better at giving clyne a hand than the others helping out
-
when we went 1-0 down..or even 2-0...IMO that was that..game over...maybe not technically as the game was still going but the points (imo) were decided...and that was right
-
that is what I am thinking..we could easily be more tighter with the same formation..
-
well, it was over...we were never going to win the game...and we never (which is a fact)
-
no matter who we have at full back we are getting hammered down the sides....to me, we are simply not tight enough....we are too gung ho
-
not even a close comparison....quite frankly.. ridiculous
-
it is highly unilikely that any manager stays....for more than 3 years....three clubs are an exception at the end of the day....as it stands, we are going down and will be down by easter.....at the latest Unless something changes...
-
more so than ricky lambert himself...or james beattie..or michael svensson...or antti niemi..?
-
maybe it is a process which he spear headed..?
-
I have no idea mate..but neither of us know
-
see, I dont think what so ever he was out 2nd best player.. that is not being blinded, racist or biased..just dont really see anything he does of note... well, lambert and j-rod started the last game.......guly never.. this game, lambert made was for guly to come in...so...........................anyway, could go round and round on that one at the end of the day, he is just not very good
-
he would be a yes man..even if he was the driving force behind it..? how do you know his whole management philosophy...like I said...he is or likes to be a very clever and talk about playing clever football....who is to say that he ALWAYS intended to implement this formation shoule he have reched the premier league in this mini era...where 433 is all the rage..? you dont...I dont...but that does not matter though...
-
I have no idea mate..just asking the question if it was possible that he was fully consulted, fully signed up and maybe even the driving force behind the policy.....is that not at all possible yes or no..?
-
I just dont rate him... I cant remember the last time he scored, or set one up..and I certainly do not think right now, he justifies his place INSTEAD of lambert
-
our manager has played a few formations in the football league.....but can you 100% say that he did not fully sign up to this policy and that he was not the driving force behind it.. like I said, you have no idea if he always intended this when promoted with any team...? unless, you have "heard" something... he has been successful...very, in the last few years..maybe he thought a bit too much of himself to be able to pull it off with what we have... can you 100% say that is not the case...as his 1 liner of "we play 433" could mean anything
-
we are nothing of note in the prem....much like the poor atmosphere when we played oldham at home....
-
are you saying we have not tried anything different this season....from the starting formation to in game changes..? who is to say adkins always wanted to play 433...but knew in the football league that 442 rules generally..... who is to say that he is or was the driving force behind the 433 club policy...maybe he actually thinks he is good enough to pull it off.....after all, why wouldnt he think he a good enough to pull it off after the last few years...? maybe that is a posibility..?
-
you say he has been told too...how do you know that he was not instrumental behind it...how do you know that he sat down will all concerned and fully signed up to the approach..and as such, lives and dies by it...? but you want to get your teeth into NC and Reed and totallt blame them
-
changing a manager almost makes a difference in every case....one way or another...
-
indeed...but our hand will be less strong...with a loan to pay back etc..we will need money and a quick player sale or two will pay that off....
-
yes....
-
if we go down....we would get around £3-4m

all the "experts" said we will finish mid table all the "experts" said the prem is average all the "experts" said we will finish above an average stoke all the "experts" said we are bigger and better than villa and Everton all the "experts" said we should write off the first 4 games as our season started against villa (notice norwich did not write off their game yesterday) all the "experts" said we will be fine and adkins will definately become a top english manager all the "experts" said are saying we should just go down, if it means keeping nigel and getting battered every week excuse me whilst i dont listen to the supposed, self confessed 'intelligent experts" on this forum...
-
does that mean he should have been dropped..?
