Another book that blows away a lot of the myths of WW11 is Britain's War Machine by David Edgerton. Destroys the concept of Britain standing alone against against the "Nazi Hordes".
-
One of the the USA objectives was to dismantle the British Empire and they've done an excellent job in preserving Democracy and Freedom since haven't they ?

I can understand why the Club have taken this stance. Duncan has always been anti-Cortese although most of the time he is subtle with it. I would suggest he has publicised this trivial spat to gain publicity for his overpriced cut and paste hagiography.

Who cares draw perfect result for us.

Just downloaded it now. I agree. Fits in with the type of musik I am listening to at the moment.

A Fried Egg sandwich and the odd free beer he would be there like a shot.

You just cant help yourself can you ? Stick to your cut and paste books and shut up.

Our family spend zero extra money. If my wife, daughter or myself want something during the year we buy it. Its pointless I would spend money on something my missus was going buy anyway and vice versa. Combine that with Christmas being a fabricated overlong tedious festival anyway.....waste of time. Anyone that spends 2 or 3k on a load of tat and rubbish food needs their head tested.

Savage Continent: Europe in the Aftermath of World War II by Keith Lowe. You will never view WW11 in the same way again. Astounding.

The Israelis did it anyway...................

Yeah but what about having a fanontheboard , saving our stripes, car parking fees, Mike Osman (whats happened to him btw ?)taking the **** out of Cortese, the lack of opportunity to write open letters etc.,"legends" having to pay for tickets, Benalis wine stain ,etc

Theres some truth in that but Barbour are still quality and are not cheap and I like them, plus Ive got a couple of Barbours as opposed to one Belstaff.
-
I love Barbour one Trooper and one Lonsdale for the Summer, plus assorted Baracutas. But last winter I really got into Trad overcoats. I got a Skinhead style genuine Crombie last winter and have just invested in a Austin Reed Camel coat and am planning to get a new Aquascutum Raincoat.

Well that has a achieved one thing. Its given our bedwetters something to moan about.

I never had a pop at you. I like contrarians. But I think you are missing a massive point. This team is still work in progress. Poch has started on the most important part defence. But he is drilling the team in a particular way. The Fulham match we were 2 nil up and totally dominant. The possesion meant it was pracically impossible for Fulham to score. Three points in the bag. What would be the point in going gung-ho and risking a 2 all ? I dont doubt at all when that part of the game becomes second nature (nearly is) Poch will move on to a more attacking style. I reckon we will be whopping the **** out of teams next season.

Negative lunatic

Oh yeah and non-team players are classed as "terrorists".

The one in my company I hate with a passion is "populate" . You dont fill in a spreadsheet you populate it. Another more obvious one is "we work as a team", no we dont the place is infected with laziness , petty rivalries and snobbery. Veering off slightly another thing our company does is if they want to announce a new initiative they have a team meeting at some ridiculous time i.e. 6 o'clock Sunday evening get in free pizza , try and make it a "laugh" and if you suggest it is ******** and dont turn up you are cast as not a team player.
