  1. Well done for plucking that figure out of your **** IQ= idiot quotient?
  2. I got sausage, swiss, bread and sushi. I had less luck with posistion.
  3. By the same token, those profits stand, notwithstanding they include the amortisation of players we bought well in the past i.e. the Ramirez of this world. On the other hand, haven't we brought forward the hit imposed by Osvaldo? And in the case of players like Shaw and Chambers in particular (but ultimately true of all the players we sold), contingent addons are likely to be pretty substantial.
  4. We've posted roughly £45m in post-tax profits over the past two years. Am sure the next set of accounts will add to that.
  5. Ravanelli to Boro would easily fetch £25m in today's money.
  6. So why didn't the OB do anything and instead describe the festivities as largely peaceful? Perhaps they got caught out and misjudged things. Had they taken action -and thats usually the cue or trigger for media coverage- am pretty the issue would have escalated very quickly.

  8. The old bill contributed to that ignorance, failing to mention the assaults in their initial reports.
  9. Still do pal. The market value of the club is still much higher than the combined value of the debt and equity. It's been a very tidy investment. FACT.
  10. Edit
  11. Who wouldn't want someone who can beat players and play a killer pass?
  12. Bless you, do you sign off emails and correspondences with this f**kwit signature too?
  13. Yep. It seems that the Senegalese paper has simply reported an earlier Daily Star article in which Mane supposedly told club management that "he doesnt want to extend his contract" and that has consequently been spun by the Senegalese paper as him "not wanting to stay at Southampton". Either way, there's no direct quotes from the player himself. In turn, that quote has been regurgitated by the Star as an original story coming from the French-speaking press.
  14. The translation/quote is as clear as snow: "je ne veux pas rester à Southampton = i dont want to stay at southampton". Not sure what the twitter account is talking about. One possibility is that the quote is completely made up, though not sure how anyone would know that unless the player officially rebuts it. Edit: have read the smaller print in the article. 15. Its like the January sales for the bitterites: you cant get everything you want - a Benn sacking was the little black dress you really had your heart set on; but having got to the shops, you're going to make sure you find something and there are bargains to be had (mcfadden, the po-faced but seriously effective jock isn't a bad consolation prize). Your baroque, insular obsession with the far left, as usual, cheapens a bigger point: that Labour has lost a capable operator on Europe at a time when the Tories are at sixes and sevens on the issue (though one wouldn't know it from your posts).
  16. "I think Long has the ability to beat players and play a killer pass, Gaston could but never seems to, Davis has a decent if unspectacular through ball, and Schneiderlin has that subtlety too, albeit a long time since he's regularly been in a position to be creative". (Post 85) http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?51588-West-Ham-build-up/page2&highlight=West+ham#.VovS2kqQGrU Good one, numptie
  17. Do you rate Haller?
  18. This coming from the same numptie that, in the past, has championed Shane Long's creativity and ability to play a killer pass.
  19. Two games? Against 10 man Norwich and a Sunderland side that stood 15 yards off the midfield.
  20. We were linked with him in the summer - think he would do a decent job, a player with proper experience and calibre.
  21. Worth remembering that the last time Mane was dropped for disciplinary reasons (i.e. the Liverpool game), he was still brought on with more than 30mins to go. That Koeman didn't introduce him till the 80th min had more to do with tactics than wanting to send out a message (at least until we went 1 down).
  22. Zero idea about the latter; but he looked just as bad as everyone else in that Villa side after a couple of games, as their fans also roundly pointed out. Point being it is sometimes hard to infer much about a player in a struggling side.
  23. Bertrand looked pretty awful in a Villa side.
