Perhaps I should have said ‘content’ rather than happy - obviously he doesn’t want to be injured all the time, but that’s where we are with him so he’d hardly go on strike by being managed carefully and given cameo appearances from the bench. But of course you knew what I meant but couldn’t help yourself could you? 🙄

Armstrong and Archer are similar, although AA is twice the player and so Archer is happy to sit on the bench as understudy. Stewart, even if he could keep fit, is a different type of striker…more of a CF and it is here that we need better. Stewart would be more than happy to spend most of his in the treatment room or watching from the bench if indeed that were possible. It is high;y likely he will be released when his contract is up, if not before. So we need a good solid CF - a player that is equal in quality to AA, but a different animal…a tall brick house guy who,can also defend our box at set pieces.

It hurt me to prioritise a CF over a replacement for Manning, but then remembered we do have a better LB in the forgotten Welington.

Tonda needs to learn that this fucking defence (inc Baz) are just not good enough to sit back and let the oppo team back in.

If you watch Baz had 2-3 players fouling him. But that’s on our three CB’s to provide protection - they don’t.

We should win this. Strangely I’m not at the point where I actually have enough confidence yet that the players are able to get the job done. We don’t seem to do draws so I’m going 1-2, with Manning allowing a late cross and a resultant goal for them at the death.

Think you’ve answered your own question there. Thankfully the game plan generically seems to hinge on not relying on him to do anything of any significance.

I just wish someone was able to choose Manning or Stephens… (…as that would signify that they were no longer at the club!) 😂😂😂
