Can’t call this one, although there’s every opportunity for the team to demonstrate the lack of depth in quality in some positions. Heart…3-0 Saints…Head…1-1.

Bearsy has to go top of my list…the one poster who truly had me laughing out loud at some of his posts. Closely followed by some of the now gone posters that were around at the time of the monkey petting zoo or whatever it was called.

Great to win especially with a last gasp goal. We did ride our luck at times…e.g. when they got the better of our defence and almost scored by hitting the bar. Generally though, every man did his job. Think there’s still work to be done, but for me RM has now done enough to demonstrate his way is the right way.

We’ll if the table is anything to go on, we’ll win comfortably. But look a little closer and you’ll see they’ve only lost one of the last 5 and drawn three. They’re a tough resilient team that doesn’t give up lightly despite their relative lack of skill. Add in Saints fragile nature and I can see a draw or loss being served up. After all, that’s the Saintsy thing to do. 🤣

Exactly this. And I would think that without wanting to over rush his return, they will be very keen to see if he’s able to perform in a Russball team well before Che gets sold in January.

Everything in terms of team selection screams of Adams going in January, so fully expect Ross to be involved in games by end October.

Yeah good support for RM, plus when RM gets the sack in January for us not being in the promotion mix, he’ll be a ready made replacement. (Well someone had to say it).😉

Well that’s how I interpreted what was said. Put another way, Spurs are top of the Prem on 28 pts from 10 games - are we as good or better than them? Exactly…there’s no comparison to be drawn.

Yes we’re winning more games which is great, but let’s not get too ahead of ourselves…these 24 points have been gained at a lower level, so not really a valid direct comparison.

Good to see Downes get MOTM - often those kind of positions get overlooked, but he quietly gets on with his game and effecting a good team performance.
