  1. Originally I was born in Portsmouth with all of my family coming from Southampton. No one was massively interested in football in my family. Just followed Saints as it was their city. A lot of my childhood friends were Pompey fans so my parents gave me the choice of who to support. My first game was a night under the lights against Everton at The Dell. My second was a summers trip to Fratton Park at the age of 6, my Dad did it off the cuff whilst at work and rang my mum to make sure I was dressed for football so we could leave straight away. It was a summers day and I had to take my jumper off, to reveal ..... my Saints shirt at Portsmouth vs Tranmere. My old dear presumed we were off to The Dell! A steward asked my Dad to turn it inside out or to put my jumper back on. I had no idea why my Dad was getting stick, I learnt the meaning and the identity of the scummer. Never looked back!
  2. Lost out on £32k due to Reading versus Birmingham when I was 18. I'm not bitter, not one bit.
  3. Where is his best position and why?
  4. I will be very surprised to see us bring a striker in this January. Not 'concerned' about Pelle's current form in front of goal, he's pivotal in the way we play too. Looking forward to seeing Jay Rod and Sam Gallagher eventually.
  5. 1. Taider 2. Osvaldo 3. Mayuka 4. Dickson 5. Seaborne Are the worst.
  6. 1. Lambert 2. Fonte 3. Clyne 4. Davis 5. Toby In that order.
  7. Hoping anyone can shed some light on this. I'm looking at taking my grassroots side to a Saints game this season (unfortunately we're visiting Fratton Park today!) and I recall there was an offer for GR kids teams but cannot for the love of me remember which fixture (possibly Swansea)? If anybody here has any experience of taking a kids team to St Mary's I'd really appreciate any information. Thanks.
  8. I think there's more to it than what's meeting the eye.
  9. Is this game as one sided as the twitter feed is now suggesting?

    Skiing

A couple of us in our early twenties really fancy this next year, want to go somewhere with a good night life (nothing chavy) but we're also beginners. We're going to have a weekend in MK visiting the dry slopes first then book up. Any advice on destinations to suit the above?
  11. I'd quite like Southampton City Council to sign Adkins as Town Crier.
  12. There's more Southampton produced players on the pitch than there is of Liverpool or Arsenal combined.
  13. I don't think ANY of us saw that coming!
  14. My points on tonight: - Tonight was a case of Koeman and co not doing their homework and most noticeably not having a game plan. - Took the Burnley squad and thought that would 'do a job'. - Only naming six subs is lazy in my PROFESSIONAL opinion, backroom should have been aware of any potential pull outs and called up additional personnel. - I do not like Clough one bit but for Koeman not to shake his hand rings of a bad loser. - Mane at one point lost possession of the ball and chose to lay down on the floor, whilst the RB dribbled past him. - Clyne, Bertrand, JWP - off the pace (fatigue?) - Never understood what Lloyd Isgrove offer's as a winger. - Mayuka is up there with Peter Madsen, Kleber Chala, and Tommy Forecast - Superb display from Fraser tonight. All in all, I'm now very worried whats around the corner for us as a team. Saw glimpses of the dark days again tonight but losing to a League One side was never going to be smelling of roses. January will define our season.

    Mane

Tonight was the final straw for me! He looked so exciting in the first games especially Arsenal away. I haven't seen anybody else mention it but we've just gone one down, he's lost the ball to the RB and lays on the floor as the RB goes past him!!!!
  16. ahahahahahahahahah Complete disgrace, I am really unconvinced by Koeman. Completely unimpressed by only naming six subs, poor preparation. Starting to notice we have no game plan of late. Isgrove & Mayuaka are not good enough. Mane, Clyne, Bertand had awful nights. Hats off to Fraser - best display to date. Bye bye Morgan.
  17. Score now Mayuka and all is forgiven.
  18. Sadio Mane is a little **** loses the ball whilst we're one down and lays down.
  19. Why only six subs?
  20. Any reason we have only named six subs according to beeb?
  21. I cannot believe he has just claimed that was Sheffield United singing!!!!!
  22. Who ever is commentating on this is a knob (very familiar voice).
  23. Any help appreciated! Work night out and we need one of each! Anything football related is a bonus!
