Er, if we buy them in the close season and have a pre-season why is this even an issue? And this season's time to gel (10 games) still would not have prevented us being promoted if we'd started on 0 points. Are you on some sort of medication? -

Had you heard of Rickie Lambert before he rocked up here? Jose Fonte? Puncheon? We have a WEALTHY owner. If players leave we will buy the best available to replace them. They might even be BETTER than those who leave. Get out of the poor little Southampton mentality. We are the FOURTH wealthiest club in England. Why the feck are people worried about players leaving?? -

Unlikely. He's had plenty of opportunities to move and will be offered a very attractive contract in a week or two. -

Fu cki ng aida!! How are Millwall above us??? My nan has been dead twenty years God rest her but even she could still play better than that!! -
You want advice on women? PM me. But I'll tell you this for nothing... cleanliness, courtesy, confidence, generosity and humour. They'll be all over you like a cheap suit.

I wouldn't disagree my friend but this year has been more plesurable for me. Going to real grounds mixing with real fans having our play and players admired. No prima donnas, no shop-shutting backs to the wall desperation, no boring draws - Wycombe aside - and the genuine belief we can win any game. Plus getting into most games for £20 and watching our young lads come of age alongside some genuine quality performers.

I never got overjoyed about 2003 for the simple reason that we often ground out the dullest 1-0 victories. And the Cup Final was a bit of an anti-climax. As for our 'play-off' season, that drove me bloody crackers because we had all the consistency of jelly and we lost a penalty shoot-out which was sooo Burley... a nearly man. This season I have seen us win two penalty shoot-outs and lift a trophy at Wembley - score 5 goals three times and generally play attacking football with the aim of winning. Maybe it's me age. (Oh and in '77 I was 7 so don't remember much but my oversize Saints shirt!)

Can you make a judgement next Christmas?
Legod Third Coming replied to Legod Third Coming's topic in The Saints
I'm not so sure... If I make a comment to the press about my business and then one of my staff makes a contradictory comment, I call them in, we have a chat and we agree a way forward. I don't fire him if he's doing a good job for having his own opinion! -

I agree with this 110%. If you want to praise do it in public. Anything else MUST be behind closed doors. That is the essence of leadership for anyone out there starting off a career in management. Abide by this rule and you won't go far wrong... oh and surround yourself with people who are better than you are. -
Can I just say that. Up or not. I can't remember better - apart from maybe '82 or '84. I love being a Saints fan again, just bloody love it.

First time I have been called nipper in many years!! Very heartening as I am four weeks from my life beginning!! But get outta the bloody middle lane. It's an overtaking lane. In this country we drive on the left! You are creating a hazard, setting a bad example and making me cross three lanes to burn you off!!!

No, forget it. We got to the end of September and had won ONE game. Everything since than has been they way it is for all top clubs. To have achieved what we have but having only won a solitary game in the first two months of the season is incredible. If you want to lament anything, lament this... The three days Lowe didn't bother to take us into admin to start this season on 0 points. The three weeks Michael Fecking Falco wasted that could have been a preseason with Alan Pardew and a few signings...

Depends if Exter hammer Huddersfield for us really
-
Bloody hell you're right!

Aye and fair enough it is too but of all people Saints fans should never accept defeat. It's over when it's mathematically over. We wouldn't accept any different attitude from our team.
-
No, we could be 2 behind with 2 to play. That would put all the pressure on them and we would have been on a run the like of which has never been seen at this club before. That would put all the momentum with us.
-
By 20th April we could be 2 points behind with 2 to play. I'd take that.
-
By Saturday afternoon we might still be, but just with four games to make it up... Squeaky bum time. Still what a season eh? What a bloody season. I LOVE it.
-
ah what a ****er

Buggerrrr!!!

I say again what an anti climax
