  1. Why does everyone immediately drop Perry when he is our best defender by some margin?
  2. The very idea that Pompey can sell players outside the window is bonkers and would plumb new depths for football... How is that fair to a Fulham or Hull? Or any club which has had to act WITHIN the law. So, let's say Pompey beat Birmigham and then play a club from outside the Premiership in the next round of the FA Cup... How is that fair to that club which did not have the option to buy one of Pompey's players?? And the window reponed for every Prem club to buy a Pompey cast off?? Tell you what, why not just post a sign above the door of every Premiership club reading: "Welcome to a league of cheating c u n t s who couldn't give a f u c k about fairness and parity and are simply acting in self-interest with no respect for football around the world, but heh what's new..." To think I genuinely wanted them to survive... cheating crooked caniving bastards the lot of 'em.
  3. I'm not convinced by him or Seaborne as being better than we had but am prepared to give them both a chance...
  4. Come on my friend make yourself a hero - work it out!!!
  5. That's our 2010 form including playing one Championship and one Premiership team... Find me a better form team than that in any league... go on, you've obviously got no life to enjoy...
  6. What have you used Derry? Winningmost eleven?
  7. Lol, the point I meant was can we find a genuine measure of our best side?
  8. Nah, winning is winning. Who has been on the winning side most would be my view.
  9. It's not a case of what YOUR strongest team is. Frankly you and me are irrelevant. Factually what is out best team?
  10. This season, what eleven has most wins under its belt? And how should we do this? The same eleven that has won most games or the players in the eleven who have won most games? But we need to do this so that we know our best eleven.
  11. I'm here all week.
  12. Then shut the feck up and wait for all game to be played eh?
  13. 2010 form is as follows: WDWWDWDWL I would think that's about as good as any team in the country to be honest.
  14. Knock six off that on the assumption we might be able to beat Oldham and Huddersfield at home where our form is the same as Norwich...
  15. Tut, tut. Not yet behind the kick xenophobia out of football campaign then docker....
  16. I meant newbies, apols. Better to bring them into a winning team high on confidence was my point.
  17. Hmm, I am undecided and think we have the capacity for both. If we can get two/three goals up in a game, then you blood the youngsters. This is what Australia have done so well for year and years in cricket - bring the kids in against Bangladesh and let them ease in with confidence around them. We will learn nothing being beaten that's for sure!
  18. Oh do cheer up. And keep up... It's all hocum and we have to win our games - both of those I said above... If we do, then it is totally in our hands based on current form (as I said above) I haven't allowed for a single bottom club to beat the top six/ten - and only the occasional draw. Have a I bet my house on it? No. Thankfully, I backed us at 18/1 for promotion in September (and 13/2 to win the JPT which having now also backed Carlisle at 13/8 has cleared a tidy sum thanks for asking ) Strange things happen in football.
  19. I think our current form is considerably better than Leeds or Charlton... We need to get going again in the league and are piling up home games. Our next two games are away again!!! They are however winnable and we have to win them to start back on the road to the play-offs. All is nowhere near lost. I have run and re-run the predictor on BBC and 18 games (especially when the last five are against very mediocre opposition) is enough for us to make up the 12 point gap (assuming we win both our games in hand - dangerous I know!). The challenge is that we will not see the gap close considerably until the third week of March. Until then the fixtures do not do us any favours. Even if we win, until then the top teams play many of the bottom teams... If we are ten points off at the end of March, the game is effectively up. If we are six points off, the game is most definitely on!!!!
  20. No, only we played them after a visit to the High Court and a judge's verdict on their trading.
  21. I read a brilliant article on WGS in the Times. He told Steve Gibson - " I am a slow starter" And when they failed to win their first five games he rang him again and said "Don't worry, this is perfectly normal for me" Some managers take a bit of time to get going. I am prepared to wager that Pardew is one of those and judge him accordingly. Oh and for the record WGS HAS a replacement hip and has had for 2 and half years...
  22. We have won what our last four/five home games? Since Xmas (26/12), however, we have had only ONE home league game. It's no good comparing other team's results without comparing who and where they played.
  23. You say that but this would be bad news for everyone including the FA, who would lose TV income (as would BFC), sponsorship income and the ability to sell the game around the world. If PFC are declared bankrupt they played us under false pretences and while trading illegally, the judge said she had concerns about their being solvent while we played them. If PFC had fielded an ineligible player and gone through, our game would have been at worst replayed. It is us who suffered an injustice by playing an illegal company. It would therefore make some theoretical sense to favour the team beaten under such circumstances as opposed to a team destined to play them in future.
  24. Of two halves....
  25. Funnily enough I had Rovers to win that based on Charltons recent wobble- you'll see where I have them finishing above. Today I have Huddersfield to win, Leeds to win and Colchester to win. The scores are immaterial to me as I gave most wins as 1-0 for ease unless I had a real feel for a thumping! Actually that's not totally true, I reflected our goal scoring in our results..like I sat it's all hocum but my main point was that critical period 13-23 March where we go from 12 to 6 points off the play offs with the way the fixtures fall.
