Nice lad, just couldn't deliver when we needed, I wish him well. But it's an amazing bit of business in this climate, and a lot of money to give a vagrant begging in the gutter, cos let's face it, in footballing terms we are a grubby tramp with wee down our trousers... If Mr Fry has negotiated this he has obviously saved his best work for this week...now he has covered his fee perhaps he could get the sale sorted, at least get us into a hostel, and maybe some shoes.
-
this thread went downhill straight after the promising start of people offering up their women - if I was him I would want to see photos first, and recent ones. It now seems to be spot the ******, and there are several to choose from. What did MLT ever do for us??....I checked out his goals on youtube and most of them were mi****, and the other 35 featured were just lucky because he was surrounded by superior players like Dowie. And let's not forget that as soon as he got too old he abandoned us, in fact it's his fault we went down. Both times. Bastard. And don't start me on Bates....or Keegan, Channon, Ball, Davies etc, all losers.

This firesale is about Fry realising that he has achieved absolutely nothing in months and he is now days away from having ****ed the whole thing up, with supporting roles from several. Thees transfers will give him something for creditors should he wind up. It's going to be a massive few days for us, and also for Mr Fry and Begbies Traynor who need to show everyone that they are a capable company. If nothing constructive happens this week it will be time to accept that our club is just a magnet for incompetent businessmen.
-
My first thought was, why are rich owners selling players? - but it isn't the prospective buyers' decision. It is about players who think they are too good to play at the level that they took the club to, so imo they can move on and we can have a clean sweep in a dressing room that couldn't deliver when we needed it most. They both played full and inactive roles in the worst Saints team of all time, I wish them well but I have got over the departures. Change is good.

Mr Fialka, walk the walk - the time for talk is over, show us the money. Matt's reputation is firmly intact, he is untouchable, he has offered Pinnacle his support for his love of the club. Mr Lynham has been very good with his updates and I think he is genuinely trying his best for the club, however, if this falls apart his reputation will be damaged. imo Mr Fry is teetering on the brink at the moment, he has taken a very long time and a HUGE fee to achieve nothing thus far. Begbies Traynor could still go down in history as the saviours of the club, or as the least talented admin company to meddle in sport. And Mr Fialka? If he can deliver the finance he has promised then he will be hailed as a hero and will be able to point the finger at the many doubters. It is too early to suggest that he may yet be exposed as a mentally-unbalanced fantasist and failed non-league player who lives with Mummy and Daddy and just loves seeing himself on the telly or hanging out with proper footballers. He still has six days to avoid that scenario, I hope for his and my sake that he has financial backing and forces the Echo to apologise. If he doesn't deliver, for me he will go straight into the top ten of people who have brought Saints to their knees, maybe even making the top three....at least the previous regimes did it because they were stupid and naive, not for vanity. So, Matt, keep the faith. Tony, get it sorted. Mr Fry, pull your finger out. Jobs a goodun.

this is like trying to investigate a car crash when you are still bouncing off the barriers. This personal attack poorly-disguised as a pointless thread could wait for seven days. We are all miffed at what is occuring, let's leave the hangings until the end, then we will know how many gallows we need.

I still can't find any forum threads that make reference to Pinnacle and the man who lives with his parents, anyone know if they have completed yet?
-
Why the depression?! It has been well publicised that his brother moved out from his parents last year so they have been getting extra income from a lodger, Michael has had his own bedroom, and the housing market is booming so his figures this year should be even better, maybe even enough to pay one player for a fortnight. Ye of little faith.... What's that? you want to buy Aldershot and Man utd as well? Course you do, take your tranquilisers and put the scissors down.
-
Todays Echo 26th June.......not good reading to some?
rallyboy replied to exit2's topic in The Saints
my heart says, 'oh my god it's Aldershot all over again', my head says, 'but someone put some serious money on the table and TL has been really up front so he deserves respect, and those two things give Pinnacle street cred'. We may have just been introduced to another middle man, which could be considered progress, however slow. Now I await further news with a mixture of curiosity, suppressed excitement and potential horror. -
Pinnacle plans conditional on promotion in first season
rallyboy replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
is this the same site that incorrectly told us catergorically that the deal was all over a while back, for no apparent reason other than to worry fans? Most odd to alienate your only audience..... Did read their site once, won't bother again. -
maybe he just got a lift home with Claus?
-
with decent backing it could take us three or four years but let's get out of their effing poxy league and back into the Prem. That's the best plan.
-
I couldn't find anything else on the forum about the ten point penalty, I think we need to debate that in depth - anyone know anything? And did someone say that Keegan was at Fulham?
-
I note there are a couple on here (out of hundreds!) who are obviously legal minds, hopefully they will grasp my layman version of events - Law is black and white and fact-based, so forget, 'we deserve it', 'I'm tired of fighting it', 'let's just get on' etc. We are all fed up with it BUT imo, you cannot meekly surrender ten points when a penalty has not been correctly applied, especially if it adds a year to a multi-million pound development plan. That would be the equivalent of us conceding a dodgy last minute penalty that relegated us and saying, 'well we were rubbish all season so justice has sort-of been done by an appalling linesman's incorrect decision...' Surely these are the facts for legal purposes - The club has never been in administration. The club did not miss paying wages (delayed but not missed). The club is still trading. And if the answer is 'but we will go into administration without a buyer' - Yes, and that is the time that the penalty applies - when it actually happens, and it hasn't. Meaning that the league took poor legal advice, jumped the gun, and now has a problem, which they are trying to make ours.
-
is this additional hassle all because someone delayed admin by a week?
-
reading between the lines could it be that Pinnacle made the bid looking to appeal, BUT they are now being advised that if they don't give up that right, there may be no league slot for their new club to play in? That would be a big problem however much you had paid. Sounds to me like the league are playing hardball to cover up their obvious mistakes, but if they are a private members' club they can do whatever they want..... until someone takes them to court. And thanks to Tony for his info and time, tis refreshing to have some honesty from/about the top of the club.

the story at the time was that the FL investigators wanted to delve further than their remit allowed, Mr Fry correctly and politely declined when they attempted that, the investigators threw a wobbly and the FL put some spin on it to try and make themselves look good. Why a FL investigation would have the power to demand details from a different company to the football club is beyond me....? Sadly Lord tosser's gang now look like a bunch of people who dropped a clanger then shot themselves in the foot, and they are currently reloading before shooting a hole in their other flip flop. A casual observer might consider that the former duck-house owning, moat-cleaning, dog food purchasing, false-mortgage claiming leech on society could stick his penalty where the sun don't shine, but that would be harsh and something I couldn't support.
-
anyone booked the Potter's Heron yet? That would be a cool way to do the press conference. (if any of the above happens....)
-
many seasons ago I missed one home game due to illness - 5-5 with Coventry (?) my recollection is that Cassells went a bit crazy, think it was a midweek game. Did see the 8-2 to make up for it.
-
if you want to see someone getting studded in the throat, check out last season's worst - Bradford v Wycombe. Not for the faint-hearted, bet you can't watch it without wincing. In fact if I have failed to do the link properly through being dim, you won't be able to watch it at all! http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2pXFUYU7ks

The police make no mention of a mass brawl in arresting him, just a breathalyser and a confession, they would have charged him with resisting arrest if they had needed to call all of Hampshire's on-duty officers to one incident. Also I believe in this day and age the police are aware that the passing of time reduces the blood alcohol levels so they do account for that, and I'm not sure that the defence of being able to react quicker than a random sober person is a popular plea, especially when you have just shunted a van onto it's roof. Claus made a mistake, then another, so he was an idiot, and he got what he deserved. Great servant to our club, very poor role model for drivers. He will do his community time and we will all move on, perhaps as a result of his case some people will stop driving under the influence of anything, maybe not. But what we all know is that the first thing the next idiot will say as they get out and start picking bits of pushchair out of their front grille is, 'I only had one pint...' Drink drivers? ******* ******* all of them.

my favourite is Cameroon against Argentina where two or three lunges in succession ended with Benjamin Massing connecting good and proper with Canniga going down the right wing. (see youtube) You could see it coming and the final impact didn't disappoint! You would get jailed for that now.
-
well he Mustapha a good reason for going. I'll get my coat, and his.

I hope the dodgy arab disappears and they don't sell anyone, their wage bill will cripple them by October. I too would like the top four to be threatened, but not by a team supported by people who couldn't respect a minute's silence for Ted. From Rownhams it may not seem relevant but the abuse is very real further east.

Letissia - a sister at last for the triplets Rupert, Michael and Leon. Think I know which one will be the family favourite in years to come.
