Speaking to a sensible pompey fan, he told me how embarassed he was at the 10k for sunderland in the cup... he also pointed out that some tickets were only £5 for that game.... £5 a ticket for prem v prem in fa cup..... and a whopping 10k turn up..... What fantastic fans they are.... Lets forget fratton maybe the need to rent wemberly for their new non league adventure

pfc123 history is not about trophys, yes they are part of it.. but if its all about trophys your lot had only 4 years worth remembering in their 112 year old history.!! History is about the club its roots, the first game you saw, the ups the downs,fathers taking sons and then the sons in turn taking their sons etc. So only a sad arsed pompey fan with no real arguement would keep chucking the we won a few more trophys line with out backing it up with other facts.

john im not convinced he is the best of a bad bunch.. Dont get me wrong he can be world class... but he is just as likely to cost us a game in the world cup.. Its a shame we used to have quality english keepers. Before you ask im not sure who is better or who I want in goal for England.it just concerns me that our world cup hopes may come crashing down after a moment of madness from him.

I did not see a real gulf between the 2 teams, they scored 4 because we were chasing the game. I agree we are a long way from a premier league side... but so are pompey....And im sure if they had their old team (with the 55mil wage bill) then they would have been better of course they would!

must admit I did not think his saves were all that at the game yesterday, but having watched it only telly, he really was outstanding-- bar the flap at a corner. Still dont want him in the England team though Sorry forgot to add, excellent post dubai phil

forced myself to watch recording of game when i went to bed las night.. As I must admit I spent too much time facing and singing at the blue few and missed a fair bit of the match. Having reflected on the recording I would say we should take a great deal of pride from this. 1. O'hara and james apart they were awful (ok they had more pace) 2. We have several players to come back into that side (including 2/3 defenders) 3. They have no hope (if they survive) of staying up. 4. They were poor but we will not play a side as good as them again this season and so there is no reason we cant go unbeaten for rest of season (I include norwich and leeds in this) 5. My final point their fantastic fans must have all lost their voice for the first 85 minutes, because we couldnt hear them in the ground and I could not hear them on the telly.

its not over... its a big ask but we CAN get to around 72 points ( that may be enough)..we wont lose more than 1 maybe 2 games, it just depends if we can turn these bloody draws into wins

Don't know about anyone else but I was there and could not hear their fans until 2-1.. Pathetic effort from them only made effort when game was won

I don't or didn't wish to see Portsmouth go bust.. I admit it's good to see them suffer and would like that to continue a little longer.. But their transfer activity recently is criminal... They are waving 2 fingers at the courts, the premier league, league clubs everywhere and even struggling businesses.. So my feelings are changng.. They have not learned and will not learn their lesson.. They need to be closed and directors held to account, and the sooner the better.. Today is the start let's hope the 11 saints on the pitch can start by showing up their over paid mercenaries! Shuttle them back to Portsmouth and watch them implode from a safe distance.
