  1. Pompey would take more.
  2. Was her name Josephine Fritzl?
  3. I only come on here to laugh at people. No point getting p/ssed off about anything on a stupid forum.
  4. Keep up Jamie. Super Mikey has already told us that he's upping sticks with his bracelets and is off to Canada.
  5. I would lol if you dropped your laptop in the bath. Especially if it was charging.
  6. No. It's lunacy to think we would spend big in the CCC.
  7. Of course we could attract 50k if we were turned into a national brand and attracted glory supporters. A few years ago you saw Blackburn shirts (not many granted) accross the country. If Blackburn had carried on as they did when they were the biggest spenders they'd have compounded this. However i'm sure i'd be that comfortable with being thought of as a glory supporter by those who didn't know I was a real Saints fan.
  8. Cortese has said that if we get into the prem, are playing champs league football, and have a 50k stadium he'd pay 100k a week wages. This to me sounds like the plan or why would he say it?
  9. When you put it like that then I can't disagree. If you rip out the guts of a town you're just left with a corpse. It's happened/is happening in Gibraltar. 20 years ago it was dirtier and had ugly concret buildings, but it was real because the people who'd lived there for generations still lived there and I liked it. Today when you look at the plush new modern flats and penthouses costing upwards of 500K it's not good because in a few years time the whole place will have be taken over and the people displaced and it will have turned into another Puerto Banus. That's why if is to be redeveloped i think it should an area for everyone to enjoy, not just a view from yuppy flats like ocean village.
  10. You can't stay comfortable in the championship though. To do that you'd have to finnish below the top 6 and above the bottom 3 every season and the novelty would soon wear off. Equally finishing in the play-offs and never winning them wouldn't be fun. The top flight is where you need to be. Even if it's fighting a relegation battle it's still the place to be because for a club like Saints that is success.
  11. Fat, Ginger lout.
  12. Personally the only aspect of sucess that concerns me is the price. Already we are paying too much PLUS the ticket tax. If we go up 40 pounds will become normal PLUS the booking fee.
  13. People like Gove and Lansley are insignificant. No appeal but not an issue. May is a vote winner, but not much of one. But that Warsi woman is a real vote loser. As soon as you she her miserable face you dislike her, but then she opens her gob and it puts the icing on the cake. She is an utter liability. Cameron isn't bad and the best of a poor bunch, but he's ignoring the right of the party and the right of the country and he'll ultimately fail because of this. BTW notice how Warsi isn't refered to as a baroness any more. Obviously she's been advised to not use it and asked others not to use. Any idea how she got the title? Did she buy it on ebay? Edit. From Wiki... Warsi was the Conservative parliamentary candidate for Dewsbury at the 2005 general election, becoming the first Muslim woman to be selected by the Conservatives. During the election campaign she was criticised for producing election literature which was described as "homophobic" by the gay rights group Stonewall.[6] Warsi was defeated by 4615 votes; in achieving a lower share of the vote than in 2001, she defied the national swing towards the Conservative party. She has served as a special adviser to Michael Howard on community relations and was appointed by David Cameron as vice chairman of the Conservative Party with specific responsibility for cities. In its December 2006 edition, the New Statesman revealed that Warsi received support for her general election campaign from Lord Ahmed, a Labour peer.[7] According to the New Statesman's report, Warsi "welcomed Lord Ahmed's support". [edit]Life Peer Despite a swing against the Conservatives in the seat she contested in the 2005 general election, on 2 July 2007 Warsi was appointed Shadow Minister for Community Cohesion and a working peer.[8] Her peerage was conferred as Baroness Warsi of Dewsbury in the County of West Yorkshire on 11 October 2007 and gazetted on 26 October 2007. On joining the House of Lords, she became its youngest member.[9] Hardly an inspiring track record in politics and given a title and a place in the Lords after losing the Tories votes against the national trend. And to think she thinks the British public aren't entitled to a vote on the EU. Charles Kennedy thinks we are, but he is elected unlike her so clearly has more faith in British people. Remember this is the woman who says we shouldn't refer to muslims as moderates or extremists, yet she criticises Labour for easing the law on allowing same sex civil patynerships/marriage. How the f/ck can she lecture on islamophobia when her election literature was homphobic. Talk about double standards. And she thinks we shouldn;t have a say on the EU because our judgement isn't up to such a decision. Politics is a f/cking joke in this country. UKIP is the way forward.
  14. The UKIP will do better in general elections if the Tories don't get tough with the EU. Before many right wing Tories said "just you wait until Dave gets in". Well Dave is in, but I don't see much standing up to Europe or him honouring his pledge for a referendum on the constitution that was conveniently altered so it didn't require one. Also I noticed how that awful Warsi woman ( if anyone will turn the electorate against the Tories it's her and her po faced lecturing) said on QT that there were more important things than offering a vote and that the electorate weren't educated enough to vote on such a matter. That is such an insult especially coming from her. Who is she, where did she suddenly appear from? I don't think she's there on merit.
  15. Could be arthritis. It runs in families. I reckon i've got it coming on as every now and then I get an ache in my shoulder which then moves to the other shoulder.
  16. UKIP leader Nigel Farage is aiming to push the Lib Dems into 4th. I think this is very possible for the simple reason that UKIP tell it how it is. There is a good interview here which i'm sure everyone from all political persuasions will enjoy. http://stuartappleby.wordpress.com/2011/09/30/an-interview-with-the-leader-of-the-uk-independence-party-ukip-nigel-farage/ And as this is as Saints forum a couple of good interviews with Lawrie and Franny... http://stuartappleby.wordpress.com/2011/10/03/in-conversation-with-an-fa-cup-winning-manager/ http://stuartappleby.wordpress.com/2011/09/26/in-conversation-with-a-southampton-football-club-legend/ All interviews can be heard in audio via the links if you can't be arsed to read. BTW does Stuart Appleby post on here? Give us a wave if you do?
  17. Where is Marc Jacksons masterplan?
  18. ..and the area doesn't have the roads to be able to cope on a match day. Southampton is crying out for a tourist attraction so I say landscpae the area and build a Museum and independant restaurants and a marina with boat trips. There are thousands of cruise passengers in city and nothing for them to spend their money on. Pompey have built on their heritage and invested in creating a great tourist attraction, why can't Southampton do the same?
  19. It is a fact that China are empire building as we did in Africa/India at the start. They are also buying up the debts of the overspending Socialist west. They are the masters but people like you don't know it.
  20. Exactly. All todays problems are caused by America. They have only recently left their own shores, wheras we in Britain have been global travellers for years. America can't even run Iraq and Afghanistan. So much for the superpower of the 20th century. It will go down in history as the most feeble empire ever to have emerged. China on the other hand are modelling their growing empire on the british empire, they already rule much of africa and hold the debts of the ailing socialist west.
  21. Why should it be down to the council/private enterprise. That is what is so wrong with this country. We need a big society where people such as the Liebherr family leave a permanent memorial for all to enjoy for generations to come.
  22. Instead of constantly building how about landscaping the area. Far too much high rise monstrosities/yuppy flats and not enough philanthropy nowadays.
  23. The name is enough to put me off. Sounds like something off a DAZ advert.
  24. It's their tradition and way of life. It's not our business.
