No. My thread was specifically about the shrewsbury pricing, wheras the other threads were just "me me me" season ticket holders getting a pre-emptive moan in.
-
And what about 500 threads from NickG talking about the same thing? And my thread was just about the shrewsbury precedent, and now it's full of st holders saying how theyre the best fans in the world and how they deserve to super treatement when that has nothing at all to do with the thread i started.

Bagsy my thread is white.
-
I know, and the other peoples threads (which were different topics) also make no sense.
-
What has that got to do with the pricing policy for the Shrewsbury game in relation to the pricing policy for the Man Utd game?
-
So because you and some power crazed mods don't agree with an argument there is no argument to be had. Brilliant.
-
Welldone for changing the thread title and making it totally irrelevent to the point it was intended. This thread is supposed to be about Cortese's public feud with Shrewsbury in relation to pricing for the Man utd game.
-
Hardly been this season as this is the age of austerity and it's just too expensive, but if I do decide to go (and manage to get a ticket) it'll be a amusing seeing all the super supporters whinging because they didn't get off their arses early doors. As with most fixtures like this if you want a ticket you'll get a ticket. That said i'm not that fussed and i'd rather attend a league match anyway.
-
Not sure how workable that would be (logistically very complicated given that most ticket proably weren't purchased against a customer number) but Cortese will surely be liasing with Man Utd in order to reward our most loyal fans because he made such a big deal about it with shrewsbury.

I'm not accusing him of cashing in, i'm welcoming the fact that Nicola is a principled man and will therefore offer discounted prices for the Man Utd game. If he doesn't then clearly questions must be raised.
-
And Saints were a big club relative to Shrewsbury town. Nicola can't have it both ways or he will be a hypocrite.
-
I am and I am.
-
Nicola wanted discounted rates "in order to reward our most loyal fans" when we played the Shrews so I think you are showing an extremely low regard for his integrity by suggesting he might want to cash in now.
-
But Cortese is a man of principle. A statement on Saints' website said: "Bearing in mind the opposition, and the number of other significant home matches during November, the club had wished to push through discounted rates for this match, in order to reward our most loyal fans. "However, our opponents from League Two were looking to cash in on their trip to St Mary's by charging both sets of fans full price tickets, an over ambitious move designed only to line their pockets. "As no compromise was able to be reached, the matter was handed to the FA, and the Club are pleased to announce that they have sided with Saints."
-
Surely you qualify for a student discount anyway.
-
Normally i'd agree BUT Cortese has already nailed his colours to the mast with his treatment of Shrewsbury. It would be hypocritical for him to want to cash in now the boot is on the other foot.
-
It didn't take long for a "i'm a better fan than you" thread to appear.
-
Thread title should read something like "Shrews tamed in ticket price row - as Cortese fights "to reward our most loyal fans". But some mod decided to change it. I think it's great we have such a principled chairman. £15 - £20 for Man Utd tickets sounds great. Thankyou Nicola.
-
Hope it's on TV so I can watch it without paying for a match ticket.
-
That'll do. Be nice to get a draw and have another payday at Old Trafford. Would've prefered someone else as Man U don't excite me - hate the cvnts too much.
-
Have they still only got three sides to the ground?

Holloway should also perhaps be remined of Blackpools main achivement in their history. 1953. I do wonder whether he may well have shot himself in the foot yesterday with the fans if subsequent premier league results reflect Blackpools performances and let's face it they have been very very fortunate in a lot of games they've played.
