What this game showed was our strength in depth. Blackpool dropped players and they were awful, we dropped players and it was business as usual. The message is clear - if you want to play in Nigel Adkins team you've got to fight for your place.

I've liked him from the moment he arrived. Pardew was far too full of himself for my liking, wheras Nigel Adkins is humble and genuine. Plus, and this is key, him and Nicola are opposites so they'll get on well.
