We now just need a civil war in Ivory Coast and our mining shares (away from West Africa) should do well with them out of the equation. That said i'm closely monitoring the situation and looking to buy into Randgold at the right price!

2011 will be a difficult year - but the UK will become a success story

David cameron gave a superb speech today. Here is just an extract, but I was fortunate enough see the whole speech live on BBC News 24. -
I can't believe you'd think that's acceptable behaviour.

I just had you down as the sort who'd enjoy Warhammer and White Dwarf magazine.

Verbal (the resident geek) won't be happy. Games Workshop Group - Down 6.3% Games Workshop lets ferocious armies clash without the drawback of actual bloodshed. Never have been in Desire. Took a bit of hit with HMV but am very happy with VOD, MKS, ITV and CNE and happy taking a gamble with NYO and CRND. Did very well with AGQ so that combined with buying back in HMV and jumping again more than recouped the HMV hit.

It's at times like this I wish I still had SKY.

I'm really enjoying Liverpools woes as they were the team most of the glory hunters supported of my generation and therefore it's amusing giving them some sh1t.

I'm thinking of sitting in the glebe road stand with the P'boro fans. Have stood on both the London road and glebe road terraces back in the day and that noddy new stand certainly gives a brilliant view of the game.

Have you done any research that makes you doubt my research?

ha ha, you're spot on with that observation. When I was at school I had no interest at all in computors and used to bunk off computor classes. These were the domain of the same people who spent their lunch break in the chess club and their free time playing wizard games.

They're only at an early stage BUT the board of directors are very professional and are not the sort to over hype something (based on the exemplery conduct thus far). Large deposits have been found in Tulu Kapi, but this is only the first string in their bow to be twanged... http://www.nyotaminerals.com/index.php http://www.nyotaminerals.com/files/pdf-23122010NYOinterestinregionalportfolio_1.pdf Speaking today in relation to the Transaction, Nyota’s CEO Terry Tucker said: “We are delighted at being able to consolidate our holding in this very promising regional tenement package, cementing our footprint over what is rapidly becoming an area of interest for international exploration and mining companies. Together with our continuing work at Tulu Kapi and the commencement of our regional drilling programme on Nyota’s other nearby regional tenements, we intend to move rapidly in pursuing targets identified from our recent airborne survey and data compilation in the early part of next year and in seeking other gold discoveries on what we consider to be highly prospective ground.”

As mentioned in the shares thread this country is now on a knife edge with civil war looking more and more likely by the day with African leaders showing typical incompetence in dealing with their own continent, and yet another African state is set to go down the pan to the benefit of the exil axis of Marxism - China and Russia, who will be rubbing their hands with glee at the prospect of being able to get their hands on the mineral resouces through back handers to dictators. Randgold (the London listed mining company) have already seen a significant hindrance to their operations with equipment held in Abidjan and other Western interests are also in serious jeopardy. I think what is needed here is for France to get involved and to use millitary force to swiftly take out the cuckoo in the nest and his key supporters. Of coure you'll get the Marxists trotting out the usual imperialsts rhetoric, just like Mugabe used this old chestnut, but it's about time we, the west, ignored this trick and fought back to protect western interests.

It was a mistake, but I recouped most of the loss with a inspired purchase at the recent 27p low and sale at the 32p high.

I'm sure the mods could easily check the IP addresses.

You do post as Atticus Finch though and it was widely thought he was Wiltshire Saint.

I could be wrong but doesn't he now post as Deppo?

It's under the bridge by the river. Hope that helps.

I took up this offer. I don't like rolling subscriptions mind so that reminds me I must remember to cancel this.

For fans travelling by train make sure you equire about the cost of splitting the journey. You can get very reasonable off peak deals from P'boro to London Kings Cross.

Interesting article from todays Telegraph. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/energy/oilandgas/8239661/Why-commodity-prices-matter-so-much-to-the-FTSE.html

Location wise that's pretty good. I know P'boro reasonably well and even if there's no hotel parking there's plenty of street parking in the area.

They won't go. They are a profitbale business despite the impression people are getting. Profit Forecasts (in Millions) Year Ending 30-Apr-11 40.41 30-Apr-12 39.81 30-Apr-13 38.30 As pap points out they have too many stores with many within yards of each other - madness.
