I went with BP because of it's huge falls - which I think it can and will recover from. Also today it went from 436p to 429p, so i'm hoping i've got in just right for the bounceback.

No that isn't that. I find it really amusing how you can come to the conclusion that he did well, because like others have said "image is everything" and the image I got from Red Ed was of a geek that tried his best but ultimately came accross as a geek. He reminded me of a George Osborne type - yeah he might be a clever bloke, but he's no leader and therefore he's not prime ministerial material.

Thought i'd have a little dabble and just joined "thesharecentre" which is an online share buying site and i''ve hit buy to get £100 worth of shares in BP when the stock exchange opens tomorrow at 8 am. It should be fun, and once i've got the hang of it and read the FT (ha ha) i'll be having a little flutter on some weird and wonderful options. I'll give W H Ireland a miss though. Anyone else into this **** or thinking about having a punt?

But wasn't David winning the contest at the various stages (i think i'm right in saying the eletion was carried out with some sort of wacky Liberesque AV system) but then lost because of the Unions? I have no wish to engage too deeply in Socialist procedures so let's just agree that he would never have become leader with the votes from party members and MP's - it was the Unions that got their man.

Fair enough. The rest of my post was spot on though wasn't it, and it's a fact that the only reason Davids brother got in was the unions.

    Red Ed at PMQ's

Spot on. Whatever your views of Tony Blair he was an astute politician and could play a crowd. Red Ed may well have his MP's enthralled (obviously they secretly recognise he's a geek and liability - hence them wanting his brother), and the political commentators may well have thought what he said was well said, but the problem is that he's got no personality at all so he'll never be able to come accross as jovial or tell a joke that doesn't make him look an even bigger div than he clearly is - in this day and age that means he's not up for the job and he won't get the votes. We have a lot to thank Bob Crow and his comrades for.
  7. If you're into antiques try Camden Passage. I found the shops to be expensive, but the stallholders were more realistic. Stalls only Weds/Sat. http://www.camdenpassageislington.co.uk/New%20Folder/home.htm

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABJ98MbyPkg There's clearly something wrong with him, even after ignoring the speech inpediment. I think he may suffer from autism.

ha ha ha. I think DC was a bit taken aback by the geek trying to go on the offensive, but i'm sure he found it amusing. Red Ed just doesn't have any charisma AT ALL so he's never ever going to win a duel at PMQ's..

To Sumarise: Ed came across like a nerdy 6th former, had zero personality, and to cap it all I noticed he lisps.

Does it clash with Judge Judy?
  12. It should be a chuckle watching Davids geeky brother today.
  13. Best place for him. I'm hopig he gets put on one of the new subs that doesn't surface for 9 months.
  14. I'd have sacked Pardew last season. Crap manager with a massive ego. Good riddance.
  15. I just nominated delldays.
  16. I went up Mount Teide in Tenerife in a cable car. Found the whole experience pretty boring as you had to walk up the hill to get to the top and even then they wouldn't let you climb up the ashy bit. Driving through the old Caldera was pretty cool though and gave you an idea of how massive the old volcano would've been.

  18. The country went down the pan when Labour riddled us with a mountain of debt.

There are four different keys between the E and the I. You must have very fat fingers.
  20. The Socialists left us with a mountain of debt and a deficit and simplythe interest on the debt is enough to purchase a new aircraft carrier every week, and still paying this huge amount doesn't bring the debt down. That is why tough decisions are having to be taken, blame Labour and those who voted for them.
  21. Good ridance
  22. And from the weird to the jumping to the classics ..... it's all good - but I wish i could find "you basterd" or "ride like the wind to be free again" - cos they are ace.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7MTovwUSY4&feature=fvst

  25. Am i bovd what you think, it's a top top tune from when I was in my early teens and is timeless. Anyone used to listen to weird **** like trance europe express?- here's a sample but this isn't a weird as most of the tracks. Not banging tunes, but reat to listen to relaxing. That said not the best, prefer some classic judge jules any day. [video=youtube;y-7tjUleVAk]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-7tjUleVAk
