  1. Well of course a vote on suggested systems would be the way to go in the first instance.
  2. Au Contraire. Let the Echo continue with the rants from SISA to sell their papers, but with this initiative it would destroy their rants and turn them into nothing but a laughing stock.
  3. The best course of action would be a monthly rolling system with a week for motions to be put forward, then 3 days compiling a locked multi poll, and 4 days with the poll open to vote on the motions. Then in week 3 the motions voted for (say the most popular 2) are given 3 days debating time, then 4 days voting time. Then in week 4 suitable press releases are allowed to be submitted for 3 days, and in the last 4 days the chance is given for everyone to vote on the one to be released.
  4. Unlike The Trust and SISA we could do things democratically and properly and give The Echo the majority view of several hundred fans. Danny reads the forum and a series of poll results would carry far more weight than the views of a few mates that parade themselves as the voice of the fans. It doesn't have to be complicated or have leaders with titles, it just needs to be done properly and when a given poll is finnished a vote taken on suggestions (that anyone can put forward) as a suitably balanced press release.
  5. I don't doubt this, but I do not believe there is a hunger for any action amongst the fanbase at large, save for a few oddball millitant commie types. With this in mind I can envisage such an event having the potential to turn a bit nasty.
  6. I think you'll find that is what I said.

So are you saying it's gods punishment?
  8. And do you think most of us are any different when we're down the pub. It may come as a shock to you that we don't all wear name badges, pass post it notes to each other, and hold up smiley cards so as not to give the wrong impression. Well not all of us anyway.

Have you ever considered where AIDS came from? It is my view that AIDS was introduced through WHO inoculations to combat the Marxist threat and the Illuminati were behind this. Could this explain the Catholic churches unwillingness to recomend the use of condoms?
  10. And it gets better - the Liberal core vote will desert them at the next election for either Labour of some tree hugging fringe party and this will turn vast swathes of Lib-Con marginals blue. I predict the Conservatives will be in power for a generation.
  11. It's nonsense to suggest everyone on here is like-minded. The issue isn't Nick or Mike giving a view to the press, it's the fact they are reported as fans leaders and given pompous titles. They are not fans leaders as the groups they claim to represent don't have any members.

Roman Catholicism is no different to the Commonwealth. By 380 AD the Roman Empire was on its last legs and they jumped on the bandwagon of Christianity as a way of mainting control. When the British empire was on its last legs we introduced the commonwealth. Roman Catholicism isn't a religion, it's a throwback to empire.
  14. The problem is the titles and flunkery. "Chairman of the Saints Trust" "Chairman of SISA" Both fans groups don't exist any more. They have absoutely no right to use titles to re-inforce their views. That is the issue I have.
  15. Unlike the lefties those of us on the right have a sense of humour so this is my nomination.
  16. Out of the Bean brothers David is the only possible threat, and now it looks like they are going to choose the most geeky Bean of the two. It is music to my ears.
  17. Not really. She is a frontier lady, and the rest of the mumma grislys share the same common sense values.
  18. But you have to remember that Sarah grew up in Alaska, with the threat of Communist invasion an ever present threat, so she is probably more qualified to opine on foreign relations than most.
  19. What is there to discuss? They are nothing and their meeting is nothing.
  20. I hope NC realises that SISA and The Saints Trust are completely irrelevent.
  21. I'm referring to the numbers of fans who are members of: a) SISA b) The Saints Trust Do you have these numbers? I ask this because you refer to them as fans groups (or words to that effect).
  22. Give us some numbers.
