Greyhounds are a good bet because they need surprisingly little exercise, but the big problem with an old dog is that a) it'll soon die and a pets death is always upsetting, and b) because it's an older dog you'll get more vets bills.

There's no point in me buying a season ticket because I cannot make all the games, instead I choose to go when I can and purchase my tickets over the phone. From now on Cortese is going to charge me £3 extra for the privilidge and that's a blatant rip off.
-
I think someone cut his phone line.
-
I doubt Stu will get a reply from the Cortese because if the fans charter counts for nothing then fans opinions count for nothing.
-
So it's just case of "i'm alright jack" for you then. The ticket tax might not bother you, but it bothers me.
-
The ticket tax is an unethical rip off and if it had happened in any other country fans would be up in arms. It's because of so called fans like you that Cortese can get away with it.
-
Cortese will probably waive the ticket tax for his chums in the corporate areas.
-
I think the sash kit looks crap, but i'm sure we won't be having a shirt like that.
-
I realise that the ticket tax is just a rip off scam.
-
Exactly and for those fans that want to pay at the gate away from home to avoid the ticket tax there will be no record on their customer accounts.
-
I'm giving my view. The club don't give a **** about fans that buy tickets over the phone/online so why should I hope the kit sells.
-
I hope it's **** and doesn't sell well. It'll serve Cortese right for trying to fleece us with the ticket tax.
-
It's crystal clear that Cortese wants to squeeze as much money as possible out of fans and that means individual ticket sales, the ticket tax, and memberships. If you add £3 (ticket tax) + £1 or a bit more (the cost of membership divided by the times the card is used) to the cost of a £22 ticket then you can get the real cost of a ticket. So in reality the cost of games is somewhere between £26 and £30 depending on where you choose to sit. If Cortese is charging this in the 3rd division we're going to be among the most expensive clubs in the world to watch football soon.

It's just another premium on top of the ticket tax.
-
Yet another method of hiking the price of tickets on top of the ticket tax.

Different Ownership and Managment, same old summer
dune replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Exactly, and Alpine is premature with this thread, but we are usually amongst the last to sign what's left. -

My original assertion was the reason. Other clubs sign players, but Saints have always made their signings in late summer to save on the wages. -

I'm not going to join in with the teeny boppers in slating Alpine because he makes a good point, albeit a little too premature. In the past we have always signed players at the last minute for the simple reason that they don't need paying during the close season that way. It will be interesting to see if this traditional SFC policy changes. -
Dulldays was talking about Lowe being bad for Saints since 2003, yet during that time he was all in favour of Lowe. What did it for me with Cortese is his smug digs at Lawrie McMenemy and Matt Le Tissier - that showed how much respect he has for SFC. And the unethical ticket tax has confirmed to me that Cortese see's us as nothing but customers to be exploited.

Booking fee's are wrong for any event. They are just an add on to generate more money and the £3 Saints are demanding for online/phone bookings is more than the vast majority of others clubs ask. It may well be becoming a fact of life, but we've heard and read much about how Mr Liebherr believes in business ethics and this charge is unethical - a contradiction of what I believed he stood for. I do not believe MR Liebherr had any input in this decision though.
-
I couldn't care less if my concerns annoy anyone because what i'm saying is right. Those with blaze' attitudes towards the ticket tax have no principles on the subject. The ticket tax is a rip off and is unethical end of.
-
I'm not going to let the issue of the ticket tax drop that easily.

What happened to kimlovessouthamptonfc?

I'm being serious. Don't read my posts in future if you cannot cope with a differing viewpoint.
