    Trouble?

Wouldn't agree without that at all either. Plenty of bods in the office I work in were well aware of how big the draw was and they wouldn't even have heard of the 6.57 or even have much knowledge of football, just know that us v the skates is "one of those games".

I didn't say Luton and Watford didn't have a rivalry. Learn to read before stretching your very limited intelligence by posting on a public forum.
  3. No it was £4 a pint when I last went this summer. Still a f****g rip off! Never get why people pay that sort of mad money for a box. Could just buy a normal ticket and blow the rest around certain establishments in London :smt033

    Trouble?

Out of the ones you've mentioned there, I would only have the highlighted ones on a par with our derby. Everyone I spoke to for the last few weeks, people supporting all sorts of different clubs, were well aware of how big our game was without me having to even mention it. (Goes without saying that the Old Firm is head and shoulders above anything else).
  5. Cheers, so basically Weds/Thurs/Fri this week we should be able to tell if they're gone or saved, but it won't be 100% official until until March 1st. That could be a very enjoyable couple of weeks, as their slow, painful death, becomes even more slow and painful!
  6. Another question for the experts on here. At what point do the rats literally start leaving the sinking ship? As it currently stands they are still trying to give the impression that the club has a future and will continue to be run as normal, sorting out a new owner etc, etc..... at what point would you expect them to put their hands up and say "oh f**k it, sorry we really are stuffed!"? Or will Storrie and co try to disappear without saying anything? Will Wednesday really be the be all and end all either way or will the bulls**t and speculation continue until the start of March?
  7. Very true, there is a stupid amount of football over the next few months. Still, its not the area finals and fa cup derby matches where good support is shown, its the run of the mill, week in, week out, unglamorous league games which make the difference between a team that's got decent support and a team that has very good support.
  8. Not too many saints travelling by the look of it http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1966416,00.html
  9. Will be a very tough game this, would happily take a point. Saints fans need to pull their collective fingers out as well, poor ticket sales so far.

Your mates sound as clueless as you.

  12. Anyone got links to actual quotes from the premier league on all of this? What have they actually stated in public?
  13. I like Davis and he's easily good enough to do a very good job for us in League 1 and the Championship, but he was poor on Saturday I thought.
  14. Seriously, how thick are you? Or are just enjoying the reaction you're getting from your posts. First of all, you are not guaranteed any money at all if you do not fulfill this season, which is still a possibility even if the Premier League advance the money. You do not have any entitlement to that money until you have adequately and legally completed the full season. Secondly, on the basis that it is what you think is the minimum you are entitled to anyway, why stop at only this amount being brought forward? Why not the minimum you'll be entitled to for the next three or four years? West Ham could probably do with it as well, so lets bring theirs forward as well, think Hull need a cash injection, so that's them. Next time a club is struggling a bit, let them spend a fortune on a new striker or two. Bit short to actually pay any tax after the new signings? F**k worrying about that, just get the Premier League to bring the next installment forward a few months, that's fair on everyone concerned I'm sure you'll agree
  15. Are all the Wetherspoons definitely open from 9am? I know they usually are.
  16. Where did you hear that? Sounds like some sort of official press release.
  17. Wouldn't be my cup of tea as its all a bit "prawn sandwich", but you do get a very good view, lots of leg room, much quicker/easier access to the gents/bars/food places etc. Be warned though, anyone who hasn't been to the new Wembley, the prices of food and drink inside the ground are an utter rip off imo!
  18. It depends when you're planning on flying in, but all of the major airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Stansted) are within an hour of Central London, then no-more than 35/40 mins to Wembley from there. Would recommend looking on the Premier travel Inn or travel Lodge websites, bit cheap and cheerful, but know they did have some really good deals for that weekend around Kings Cross, not sure if they'll still be available though.
  19. What would certainly be worthwhile and someone should get the club to promote is to have a few blocks as a "family centre", don't know if this is done as standard for cup finals, but having a section for those with young kids and want to avoid bad language, standing up etc would definitely do everyone a big favour.
  20. Oh stop crying you big poof, the truth obviously hurts.
  21. Pretty much ANYONE who wants a ticket will get one, no need for anyone to worry or panic. Now, what is everyone doing for Norwich tickets and travel?
  22. Got to bear in mind it'll probably be a 1.30pm k.o. on a Sunday. There are a fair few pubs around Wembley which obviously have the advantage of being able to drink up to close to kick off, lots of places between Wembley Central station and the ground including a big Wetherspoons, couple of pubs near to Wembley Park Station including the Torch, none of them great but serve the purpose. The other obvious choice is Baker Street. Got the Globe, Allsop Arms, a big Wetherspoons. 15/20 mins on the tube from there. And there is a big Wetherspoons by Finchley Road tube station (the next one on from Baker Street), but thats part of a big indoor shopping complex, so maybe not the best place for a pre-football pint. Although many on here love to slag off Wetherspoons, it might be worth pointing out that they open at 9am on a sunday (think the Baker Street one is at 10am), so will certainly come in handy on the 28th of March! Also what you get plenty of is people just getting aload of cans and drinking along Wembley Way/ around the ground, cheap and easy to time getting into the ground.
  23. No, none of the above I'm afraid, you complete and utter weirdo.
  24. For f**ks sake. So they're basically being allowed to continue playing/operating while being insolvent (ok, we kind of knew that on here), but its more clear now than ever. And at least another 7 days of speculation on here, anyone else find this thred strangely addictive?!?
  25. The vast majority of the Kingsland, Chapel and Itchen (bar blocks 1-5) were near silent last night, sat on their hands snoozing away.
