  1. Pimpey fans are just like children, when being told off by their elders and betters they dislike it very much. However if it comes from an elder brother they take it somewhat better.
  2. This link is to a story from 1997 ! Very long but interesting as even a certain ex woman P.M. is mentioned as having to be forced to act against one of the Conservatives main "helpers". http://pebpr.blogspot.co.uk/ Just a small part says:- "There is a lot more to the abuse side of this case, but as I am still investigating this I cannot reveal anymore at this time. However, I would like to know what happened to almost 20 million pounds of Conservative Party funds which I understand are still in an offshore account controlled by him and former Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher. I would also like to ask the former Prime Minister why she stood up for McAlpine when information was passed to her by the security services in relation to McAlpine, and it was only after a large amount of pressure was put on her that she removed him from his post before information leaked out. For all that she may have been the best Prime Minister this country has had for a very long time, she has let every child in this country down so badly for the sake of the party and that she can never be forgiven." The above quote is NOT my words to clear any doubt. .

  4. Just had a polite P.M. re my main board thread ( After posting above comment )
  5. Looks like "they" didn't enjoy my attempt at cheering the main board up then, the thread has been locked Some people let this game take over their life far to much. I mean if these wealthy football types get "let go" they find another job and the fans don't have to pay the redundancy. The fans mortgage isn't affected either.

  7. home to have a good nights sleep before starting work with the team on Monday
  8. To go on the main board and start a thread called "Adkins has Gone!!!" and then qualify it in small letters with the phrase "home for a nights sleep before getting back to work" There are soo many threads about him being in trouble so would one more hurt ?
  9. Palmerston North's Levi Sherwood has become the youngest-ever winner of the Red Bull X-Fighters tour championship - and an overnight millionaire. The 21-year-old sealed the world title and a $1.3m windfall yesterday, claiming the Sydney leg of the extreme motocross world series on Cockatoo Island - his third stage win of the 2012. Unlike his more traditional peers, Sherwood has done it all off his own back, self-building practice facilities on his Manawatu farm as a teenager, with Government funding all but completely closed to him. http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/motorsport/7779868/Kiwi-motocross-rider-an-overnight-millionaire
  10. Katie Price for too many reasons to post. I can also think of several more but I don't want to hog the thread.
  11. http://www.flightradar24.com/data/airplanes/n977ga Watch their progress
  12. I wonder if he would pass the "fit and proper" FL test ?
  13. Has he actually been put on a jet that has taken off ? I will only cheer when it does and then a few hours later pictures of his arrest in the U.S. appear.
  14. A high debt/equity ratio generally means that a company has been aggressive in financing its growth with debt. This can result in volatile earnings as a result of the additional interest expense. If a lot of debt is used to finance increased operations (high debt to equity), the company could potentially generate more earnings than it would have without this outside financing. If this were to increase earnings by a greater amount than the debt cost (interest), then the shareholders benefit as more earnings are being spread among the same amount of shareholders. However, the cost of this debt financing may outweigh the return that the company generates on the debt through investment and business activities and become too much for the company to handle. This can lead to bankruptcy, which would leave shareholders with nothing. The debt/equity ratio also depends on the industry in which the company operates. For example, capital-intensive industries such as auto manufacturing tend to have a debt/equity ratio above 2, while personal computer companies have a debt/equity of under 0.5. 16. " Childline founder Esther Rantzen, a BBC broadcaster and long-time campaigner against child abuse, has admitted she had heard rumours about the behaviour of flamboyant entertainer Jimmy Savile. Ms Rantzen, who appears in an ITV documentary tonight which claims Sir Jimmy sexually abused schoolgirls as young as 12, said: "There were always rumours that he behaved very inappropriately, sexually, with children." She said: "For the first time there's more than one single child complaining. "There are five adult women producing very similar statements about the way they were attacked." ALSO Broadcaster Paul Gambaccini said this week he had been waiting 30 years for the allegations to come out and the star had used his high-profile and successful charity work to stop claims being exposed. .
  17. Yes it is a disgusting heap BUT blowing it up or even burning it to the ground would not eradicate it 100%. Parts would be blown in the wind towards decent folk in Hampshire. The only safe way is to totally enclose it with concrete at least 6 feet deep.
  18. Well 3 pages with 147 posts in a few hours suggests that "we" are
  19. I have to say that I am a tad worried now
  20. Suppose the Liebherrs are the secret owners of this Vibrac Corp would you all be so concernered?
  21. Maybe they cannot afford to pay their webmaster to change it?
  22. As of today, wheel clamping on private land has been outlawed in England and Wales! You can still be ticketed, but that gives you a chance to choose whether to challenge it or not, rather than being subjected to a forcible protection racket. It's nice to see that the government have actually followed through on this item from the "Freedom Bill" P.S. Just one note of caution: Some little known by-laws do exist which give certain landowners the right to manage their parking in any way they choose. These include some car parks at railway stations, airports and port authorities.
  23. Why don't the pimpey trust threaten legal action against TB for taking so long ? The reason I ask is that this thread has really slowed down lately and needs a shot in the arm. Talking of shots in the arm anyone else seen this :- http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/world/15005823/woman-caught-injecting-heroin-while-driving/ Abby Elsner, 25 of Dayton, Ohio had the misfortune of a cop pulling alongside her, just as she was giving herself a hit of scag. According to the Dayton Daily News, the police officer looked up to see Elsner, arms up, knees on the steering wheel, a needle loaded with heroin plunging in to her arm. Wonder if she has any relatives from pimpey ?
  24. Crime Labs in Crisis: Shoddy Forensics Used to Secure Convictions by Matt Clarke Very scarey and long article but well worth reading and remembering IF you are arrested and accused of a crime you genuinely didn't commit. https://www.prisonlegalnews.org/%28S%28oy0shv4520stu555aljzwpyh%29%29/displayArticle.aspx?articleid=22698&AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 I know this is in the U.S. BUT maybe it could happen in the UK as well? "Crime lab workers are not necessarily scientists. In fact, sometimes only a high school diploma is required for employment as a forensic technician or arson investigator. Nor are lab examiners and their supervisors always the unbiased investigators portrayed on TV; in fact, many crime labs are run by or affiliated with police departments, which have a vested interest in clearing unsolved crimes and securing convictions."
