Let's face it, we're not a club that top players will think, yeah, I'll kick up a fuss to join them. More likely is that a player won't be arsed if we enquire, and will happily sit tight if we have bids rejected in the hope a bigger club will come calling.

Armel and Will seem the closest to leaving. We definitely need some quality in midfield. Surely the management can see that.

Fucking depressing

I've said it before, he has crisp packet hands and wrists. He frequently dives late. It's almost comical, like he's been instructed to do so to take the piss out of us. Even after the ball has passed him, he dives. I swear the bloke must be some sort of Portsmouth spy sent to fuck us over. Has he cast some sort of spell on the people in charge? If they were lazy, all they would have to do is look at the raw data about his shot-stopping ability. Terrible.

I mean, more often than not relegated teams have to sell their best players, right? We were always going to lose the likes of KWP, Fernandes and Dibling. Surely it is agreed that to get in a replacement of better or equal quality would be fucking tough for a relegated club?

Am I wrong for expecting squad quality to reduce after being relegated? I thought that would be a guarantee and would be expected? Please help me with this one. I only ask because it seems to be a common gripe that our squad has gotten worse?

I mean, I think 4 or 5 at the back, with our squad as it is, changes nothing. Our players are still weak-willed and just a bit airy-fairy. This is the team that collected 12 points last season. Despite a few additions, we are still presented with most of the dross that was served up on the teamsheet reveals last season. Guts and guile are lacking. So is tenacity and speed (both literally and of thought). We need some additions to stand a chance of automatic promotion.
