  1. Oh yeah totally agree, we wont compete in the Premier League.
  2. Aside from the financially unsustainable angle if we dont go up this season you are immediately losing KWP, THB, Downes, Brooks, Adams and probably Bednarek, Stuart Armstrong and Alcaraz.
  3. I cant see us overtaking two of the three teams above us, and that's what it'll take, we are no longer chasing just the one team (for second spot - step forward all those who celebrated Leeds beating Leicester 🙄) So it'll be playoffs and I do wonder if finishing fourth might be a blessing in disguise. If you finish third you face the team in sixth that have more than likely built up a head of steam to grab that place in the last couple of games of the season. But its a lottery and if over those three potential games we are on form I think we could do it.
  4. Certainly.... He's basically expressing concern at sitting right next to the scene of a major fire where they still are to ascertain what exactly went up into the atmosphere given the instruction to residents that if you find ash and debris in your garden dont bloody touch it !
  5. oh I'm sure it will be yes.
  6. The problem will be just how much smoke and debris got into the stadium and what chemicals/materials were contained within that. Hopefully, from the clubs point of view, a deep clean of the whole stadium will suffice and pass any inspection. I did read there was a fear of asbestos in the roof of one of those units but of course you never can tell on social media what is true/partly true or just bullshit. I suspect the main concern for the authorities will be having 30,000 people rocking up literally a few feet away especially if they are still working in the area.
  7. Given Preston are away to Plymouth on Saturday 16th they could stay down here and have access to our training facilities if required. It would be a sensible solution………it won’t happen of course !!
  8. That’ll cone at 7.30 this evening then if those idiots are involved
  9. Echo reporter tweeted 18 fire engines now on scene. There’s no way this game is happening tonight.
  10. Oh he really does. If we dont go up and THB goes back to City you can hear RM state that Stephens is just as good and we wont have a drop in quality at the back ! Oh yes we bloody will !
  11. You ever see Beckenbauer play ?
  12. Of course, and we’ll break up the JB/THB partnership to get him in I expect !!
  13. Well from what I was watching that just about sums it up without going into the nuts and bolts of subs etc.
  14. I’ve seen nothing to change my view on him, flatters to deceive, all fart no shit.
  15. Did anyone spot what happened with KWP?
  16. Is there a fkin point to Smallbrain ? He’s been woeful since he came on to add to his recent bad performances
  17. Ok this is what will happen tonight….. Liverpool (probably Klopp’s Kindergarten) are live on ITV tonight in the FA Cup. ITV will be so busy paying homage to Klippity and co that we won’t get a mention until the game starts….and even then that’s open for debate. Should by some miracle Saints score the level of incredulity will rise beyond reasonable levels, “how dare….umm, who are these, oh yeah, Southampton, score” We probably won’t….but just in case If we happen to steal a win……the brown stuff will hit the fan, how dare they break Jurgen’s dream of winning everything blah blah blah. The fact we need this game like a hole in the head will be lost on ITV, we will probably play a weakened side, we have much bigger fish to fry…..and one last thing, if we lose 5 or 6-0 we will be called “plucky” and Klopp will hug all our players Up the Saints!
  18. Might as well play Sulemana given his best game by far was against them and its a good shop window for him which i'm sure will be at the forefront of his mind.
  19. They’ll need to use some bloody strong bleach to clean off that commentary gantry after that Liverpool fawning wankfest
  20. I really hoped after both the Hull game and yesterday RM would take full responsibility like he did after the Bristol City game, but no, he's prattling on about mistakes not tactics blah blah blah. Well Russell old son, there weren't too many mistakes when we went on that run and the team virtually picked itself without too much tinkering! The decision to play our most consistent player out of position (his preferred position before anyone chips in) at Left back yesterday was a case in point. Now even RM realised that was wrong when he changed it at half time, but why do it in the first place ? To get Stephens in ? But he played on the left at WBA so...... The last two games stink of a manger who thinks he's cracked it and can be as clever as he wants, so there ! Its a trait Ralph had and this one has in spades.
  21. Unfortunately its not just the second failure in a week, its a blind spot he continually finds everytime Downes is out injured/ill. Bree should be a shoe in next week against Birmingham as should putting back together the team and system that went on that run. All these positional chganges and playig around with the formation have proven to be a bloody disaster
  22. those two players will NEVER belong in the same sentence.
  23. Yeah this is the trouble with RM’s style. If you are winning and just knocking the ball about with little purpose the majority accept it but when you’re losing and the team are still puddling about in the middle of the park and showing little urgency it’s bloody frustrating to say the least.
  24. Don’t all players with a leg injury to keep any weight off it? What Adkins used to call “shutting down the player”
