  1. I agree, but I'm not Tonda and he's been doing pretty well doing things his way 🙂
  2. I kind of agree with you to be honest although I wouldnt call it a giant distraction, its a big deal for the club. I think if we drop points tomorrow night and Ipswich and Millwall win their mid-week games second place looks extremely unlikely so we would then be looking to protect that 4th place if we want to play the second leg at home. I'm not sure it would bother Tonda whichever way around it works out. If that was the case we can go strongest possible against City. If we are still in a position where beating Ipswich means its still all to play for regarding 2nd then the call for the manager is much harder.
  3. I reckon you should look back and see how many turned up in the old Division 3 days.
  4. Not if they beat Arsenal they won’t. Pep wants the league, he won’t heavily rotate if it’s in their own hands.
  5. Oooh !!
  6. Yep, in the same way a proper goalkeeper and an old fashioned centre forward can !
  7. I’d be willing to bet my mortgage on Bournemouth not going for the Ipswich manager.
  8. Ah yes, my mistake. Drury is still a twat tho
  9. Peter Drury, Pompey fan and Grade A twat
  10. We’ve done a real job on Wrexham haven’t we? They look fkin awful today and fair play to Birmingham who have nothing to play for.
  11. Jander had his best game for ages. Downes has been back to his best for some time now so all those illness issues seem to be behind him. Larin has surprised me the last two or three games. He looked for all the world like a player you just wanted in the area to get on the end of crosses but no, he can play a bit, he’s got some pace about him as well. He’s obviously been working on fitness quite a bit since he’s been here.
  12. No I don’t think all season ticket holders will go. If I buy for the same block I was in for the play off final it will cost me £45 more, for a semi final ffs !!! I mean the final, yeah, I get that cos it’s their premier knock out competition but not a bloody semi final that for years was played at a neutral league ground.
  13. Totally agree and every passing week's improvement in Saints has really underlined that.
  14. Details tomorrow but if you have them in your friends/family list I don’t see why not.
  15. No the ones who have a lot of day to day expense beyond football and it’s not like we haven’t got a lot of matches in the next few weeks. It wouldn’t be an easy decision to give this a miss but many won’t have that choice unfortunately
  16. Tickets £30 up to £150 !! I'll be interested to see how that breaks down in the different areas of the ground. I'm susprised we are the Live on BBC 1 choice........maybe they fancy an upset 😉
  17. We wont win all our remaining league games, none of the teams chasing play off spots will. We just need to keep one step ahead of Derby, Wrexham and if we win our game in hand over them, Hull. 5th or 6th is most likely, 4th is possible. I agree about Ipswich, we dont want them in any play-off, I hope their fate is sealed when they come to St. Mary's and its 2nd !
  18. That was quality, absolutely fantastic. Now it’s all over I found it amusing that apart from Moore wiping out THB when they scored that bloody ref blew for a foul virtually everytime anyone went near another player !!!
  19. The biggest issue with Chelsea v Leeds being on the Sunday is they will want a large Police presence. The London Marathon is Sunday 26th April.......
  20. Well yeah, I’m sure Tonda has a few ideas on how to get at them. Don’t give them time on the ball being the obvious one.
  21. So had Arsenal beaten us, given the numbering was already announced, they’d have drawn City would they? Yeah, right !!
  22. Delay for the draw then 🤣
  23. I dont really see it. Wrexham had a tough game yesterday so they wont be going into Tuesday night fresh. We will have Downes and Matsuki back who will have had a break plus possibly Stepehens and Leo based on team selection tonight. Playing Ipswich straight after an international break where our rhythm may have been knocked a bit would have been awkward. At least now there is the chance when we play them their fate is decided. Its a distraction but not a bad one. Now should we come through tonight there may well be an issue of course but lets not worry about what might not/probably wont happen.
  24. Wrexham and Hull are the realistic targets.
  25. Hopefully this turns out to be true - From Echo - A short training session for #SaintsFC players at St Mary's this morning, with today being their first day back after a break. Leo Scienza is expected to rejoin first team training later this week ahead of Saturday's FA Cup QF against Arsenal.
