  1. The only thing Southampton have done correctly is they have kept this lad Salt's name out of the public glare. The fact his picture and name are out there is 100% down to Middleborough and their forwarding the evidence to every media outlet they could possible think of. His name and likeness should only have been for the ears and eyes of the disiplinary panel. I keep reading about this duty of care stuff. Boro dont give a flying fuck about that. I hope they get sanctioned for that alone.
  2. Yes,very true.
  3. I hear what you are saying but we still don’t know the full facts. If the rumours out there are true then yes he has to go…..but what if they aren’t or it’s not the whole story? As with most of this we just don’t know 100%
  4. I guess everyone who will face FA charges needs to be sacked before it gets to that then the club have been seen to act. Whatever charges those involved face can be for their next employer to suck up…..unless as I suspect they move to a European club etc
  5. I can sleep easy knowing that then 🤣
  6. I don’t want Adam fkin Lallana thank you very much
  7. Oh Sky Bet are shithouses. I had a great winning streak for about 3 months, nothing huge only £30-40 a week on the horses and football but when they’d had enough all their boosts and free bets were removed and I had a limit of about 2.30 betting on a horse.
  8. I would still love to know what he wanted to say but couldn’t last week. I guess we’ll never know.
  9. I think Tonda needs to go back to Germany and keep his head down for a while. I’ve no doubt he’ll get a job somewhere in Europe again and he’ll do well having learned the lesson of his life from this mess. Unfortunately that won’t be any consolation for Saints or us. Worst thing is I honestly believe he’s a very talented manager and this was totally unnecessary
  10. Agree 100%. I don’t just want my Wembley money refunded, I want last Tuesdays and all those who went to Middlesbrough should get their tickets and travel costs. They need to start making their peace with supporters NOW !
  11. Whatever the rights and wrongs of their argument you can’t deny it was always going to happen (bar LD of course who questioned what it had to do with them). With a £200 million windfall at stake they would be crazy not to get their lawyers looking into it, especially given spying during the league season has been put on the table.
  12. I think that’s a risk the club would be willing to take. It’s akin to choosing red or black, winner takes all, on a roulette wheel.
  13. No he hasn’t. He’s saying you have to be in it to win it and we’ve been stopped from being in it. The recompensating fans etc will come after we lose the appeal……umm I mean should we lose the appeal.
  14. Not until after the outcome of the apeal they wont. People are just pointing out that for a period of time you will actually have 2 sets of tickets for 1 game having been sold. I dont understand why they aren't waiting until the apperal outcome. In normal circumstances this match would have been postponed and pushed back to a later date, which, appears to have been earmarked as next Thursday evening.
  15. I know this could be realms of fantasy stuff but I do wonder if Boro and their whistleblower only put forward the Oxford and Ipswich cases of spying given we didnt win either game and, had they bought forward "evidence" of spying on Wrexham for arguments sake then the legal minefield would have definitely become more explosive. Just a theory/thought.
  16. Yeah but never mind that, as long as EFL get the game played Saturday at 3.30......or 4.30, thats all they are worried about.
  17. They literally only care about ensuring their showpiece game takes place on Saturday, nothing more, nothing less. Absolute idiots……. But not cheats, like us !
  18. The EFL are covering all bases here aren’t they? I maintain they should have shut the fuck up about reinstating Boro until AFTER Saints appeal given nobody can do anything until after that appeal is lost, or won (some hopes!)
  19. Not as much as the club spin on Season Ticket renewals !!!
  20. I would doubt their energies today are focused on anything but this evenings appeal to be honest.
  21. I’m afraid talk of Southampton and “no brainer” in the same sentence is extremely apt at present.
  22. When even Redknapp thinks it’s harsh…..bloody hell
  23. Just looking beyond the impact on Southampton for a second - Apologies if already mentioned but had the 14 day rule not changed the hearing would have been after the Play-Off Final. Had we lost to Hull the sanctions would have been applied based on SFC being a Championship club. Had we beaten Hull and they had then “expelled” Southampton it would have seen Hull City promoted. So, Middlesbrough rock up at Wembley and beat Hull. Have Hull City then not got a case to put to the EFL, if not over the original hearing but certainly over the less than 24 hours for Southampton’s appeal to be heard. The EFL are doing everything they can to make sure their showcase final goes ahead, however difficult or wrongly. The whole process stinks to high heaven.
  24. I think the EFL have really screwed up how they’ve handled this. Did they not think for a second that Saints wouldn’t appeal that decision straight away? What they should have done is made a statement saying Southampton have appealed the ruling which will be heard on Wednesday and not made any mention of being expelled from the final That way they didn’t need to put in that line about that decision could in turn be reversed upon the result of the appeal. So as things stand how can Middlesbrough possibly sell tickets until Thursday when the appeal outcome is known? If they sell tickets tomorrow and the appeal wins those tickets are null and void. There should be no way they can hold this game on Saturday with different opposition facing Hull. The logistics of it are beyond ridiculous. Southampton FC have been a disgrace here, don’t get me wrong. But the EFL aren’t smelling of roses either.
  25. I still cannot believe SFC haven’t had the fkin decency to put a statement up to the fans on their website. Given they desperately need to win people’s trust back ignoring this ain’t a great start.
