I think bringing in Downes, Fraser and Holgate who have all to varying degrees played in the Prem isn’t a bad group of signings at this level but the next few days will go a long way to decide if we are looking to stay top 4 or if our realistic ambitions are top 10. Having said that with our renowned slow starts not many could have hoped for 10 points from 12 !

Totally agree. Loans arent any good for players that will improve an area where we are currently weak. If you're gonna get rid then sell and replace, dont loan.

I think the comment has already been made in this thread that, like a lot of players, Che thinks he's better than he actually is. If the situation was viewed with any logic he would be thinking "this is my level, I'm going to score a lot of goals in this league this season, that will make me an automatic for Scotland and I can carry my form into internationals" But he wont, he'll somehow think he can score loads of goals for Everton, save them singlehanded and have a statue plonked up next to the one of Dixie Dean!!
