  1. Funniest thing was his marquee signing, Samba (reported 12.5m fee and 100k / week) was at fault for their first 2 goals. Try and distance yourself from that twitchy!
  2. I think flight costs should be reduced at purchase and additional costs applied at the airport based on a direct correlation of the weight of the person travelling plus their baggage.
  3. Break out the Champers................ ........................OK it may take 17+ years but my FM 2012 has spoken!
  4. They're gone already. Oldham 3-0 up 2 minutes to play. Leaves Skates 8 points adrift of safety with just 7 games left. This is assuming that all the other team lose all their remaining games (whcih we know isn't going to happen) and even if it did I don't think Skates will get the 8 points anyway from their remaining games - their current form (last 10 games) is 1 pont per game which isn't good enough and their season form is .79 points per game. Also Oldham have 2 games in hand after tonights game. They're already gone!
  5. No less happy than knowing that Portsea Island is loaded up with fishf&$#ing inbreds.
  6. Make that 3 clubs. Blackburn, Blackpool (who are on the same points as Blackburn) and the cheats.

  8. Found him ................but I think it's the wrong trousers I'll get my coat!
  9. 1-0 FT - normal service resumed!
  10. Was it or was it him realising he's made a 7wa7 of himself and it's a convenient 'get out clause'?
  11. Oh dear #factlessallen. I don't think even a facepalm emoticon is sufficient - more like As WSS has pointed out, they haven't been able to afford to sack anyone
  12. I haven't but to be honest I'm McLaren Vale biased, partly because I want to support the local community by buying local produce but also I'm a Shiraz drinker and McLaren Vale produces some of the best Shiraz whereas the Barossa (where Two Hands is from) is more famed for its Cab Sav apart form the obvious ones such as Penfolds Grange. Next time I'm out at the bottlo (off licence) I'll pick up a Two Hands and give it a try. Have heard good things about it.
  13. I guess it's like all in life - you get what you pay for. I live in the McLaren Vale region (one of Australia's major wine regions) and one thing I noted when I first arrived was how sh17 the regular wine in the UK was, but now I realise I was just tight, thinking that a decent bottle of red was a Jacobs or a Yellow Tail for GBP 5 or 6. The major wine companies here will often make 'export quality' wine for the US & Europe markets for selling at around $5-$10 per bottle. Typically it is not good wine. It is mass produced without too much care for the flavour. Now I don't spend anything less than the equivalent GBP 10 per bottle for quaffing wine and anything from GBP 20 upwards for occasion wine. If you can get hold of Wirra Wirra Church Block, that's a pretty easy drinking red to get into and I think you should be able to pick it up for about GBP 12 a bottle. If you spend a bit more (about GBP 30) I recommend the D'Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz (you can get it from Majestic Wines). Also recommended is Brunello di Montalcino. Made form the Sangiovese grapes in the Tuscany region it is one of Italy's top wines. You'll end up spending GBP30 upwards but it is worth it! As alluded to by one of the other posts, tastes change all the time. I used to love Beaujolais and other lighter reds but now (probably as a result of living in McLaren Vale, which is famed for it) I can't go past a Shiraz or any other red that is dark, thick, fruity, full of flavour and ballsy!
  14. That is super but I do wonder how you have nailed the Portsmyth Maths.....unless you attended -
  15. Sorry, did I miss something there? I was sure I was about to see fans streaming onto the pitch.
  16. In 12 months from now they could well be the south coasts 7th club behind Brighton, Bournemouth, Exeter, Torquay, Plymouth (if they avoid relegation themselves) and the Farking Scummahs. Now that would be worth watching!
  17. yes we most certainly are
  18. Carlsberg don't do football results, but if they did ............ Colchester 2 - 0 Yeovil Hartlepool 3 - 0 Crewe Scun7horpe 1 - 0 Stevenage Swindon 0 - 1 Bury LLLLLLLLLDDDLLLLLLLDDLLD
  19. Being in the banking industry I have to be very careful on giving advice and am unable to offer any advice as to what you should or shouldn't do but will make the following points (apologies if this is all known to you anyway - I don't know what your knowledge of banking products is like): Offset - consider the materiality of the interest saving benifits of this, particularly if you are only looking for a sort term mortgage. Also consider the difference in interest benifit between the ISA and the offaet account. Fixed - be aware that overpaying a fixed rate loan often leads to penalty fees (this is because there is a potential real or economic cost to the bank whne people overpay). You will need to check this with the institution offering the product. Tracker - there should not be fees for overpaying (I say 'should not' but you will need to check this with the bank/broker) but could be a risk if the UK economy improves drastically and the cash rate moves up. Ultimately you will need to do the sums youself (or speak with a bank for assistance if requried) to work out the total amount you will be paying against the different products available to you then weigh up the pro's and con's of the costs, risks and different term lengths taking into account your personal situation.
  20. And that's the point of my question. I don't know whether this will be pretty straight forward for the judge or not, I guess it will be but Baloo will try to throw a few spanners into it. Whatever the case, the judge's sole interest will be to make the correct decision and he/she won't care that the FL have a deadline for the club to be out of admin. Either way
  21. Will the judge make a decision that day or is it to hear the arguments from both sides with his verdict to be delivered at a later date?
  22. Amen!
  23. I don't know what is more painful for them, Pompey fans having to see their club in the position it's in or Pompey fans hearing that the club are striving to be like Southampton. Anyway back to my
