I wonder if all those complaining about the coal mine closures would have be moaned if their welfare benefits had been cut to fund keeping the mines going.

It was a horror show on Sat. I left the ground during the lunch interval to grab a bite at a local pub and missed part of the middle session, when Johnson tpok all those wickets. It was the inly positive from the day (missing Johnson rip us a new @r53hole). The ground is fantastic but has lost a lot of its character.

Got my tickets for Saturday, really looking forward to it! The new Adelaide oval looks fantastic from the outside, let's hope it is the same on the inside and hope it still retains its charm. Are there any others on here over in Australia going to any of the tests? It'll be interesting to see who they bring in. My guess is Bresnan will replace Tremlett and Balance or Bairstow will bat at 6 with Root moving up to 3. That said there's a chance Monty may play as the Adelaide pitch historically spins day 4&5 but having said that, since the oval has been redeveloped the old pitch was ripped up and the new one is now a drop-in (so the can play Aussie rules in the winter) and who knows how the drop in pitch will play.

The point was that he is not only donating money but also raising awareness. Can do that without publicity can you? I think what he has done is admirable. Yes he's opened himself up a little but he's been willing to donate up to 11k (given he has 110,000 followers) to charity and also raise awareness of the cause. Fair play I say. What he doesn't need is people like you hiding behind their PC's making comments like It's people like you and comments like this that make me despair of the internet and social media.

Absolute dream for me. First time back in the UK for 7 years so I thought I'd take my lads to an England game and now I hear Lambert's starting.

In response to the op, I look at it simply, we improved our defence, improved our midfield and improved our attack. Sure it wasn't a perfect window but no club has a perfect one. It's the best one we've ever had based on the quality we've signed so an A from me.

Doesn't Rooney have a shoulder injury? I'd be surprised if Rooney starts. Given it is a friendly and given it is against Scotland I wouldn't be surprised to see Lambert getting at least a half.
