Saints want £5m Michu...
saintscottofthenortham replied to saintscottofthenortham's topic in The Saints
Because there is pile upon pile of garbage posted in that thread. We have been linked with a player, and here is a place to talk just about said player. If we don't sign him, the thread becomes redundant.Just sharing some news. Unlike you, I'm not in this as a popularity contest. -
Saints want £5m Michu...

Yes. -
... from Rayo Vallecano according to The Sun. The 26 year old midfielder has hit 15 goals this term.

Love it.

De Ridder at Reading was a great moment. 4,500 Saints erupt. Going 0-1 up at Fratton, the first outing of "WTFILN?" Jos's goal on Saturday to make it 3-0 - the moment all the nagging doubt I had that we were going to f*** it up disappeared, and I could finally accept we were going up..

Enjoy. Would love to be able to go to this but will settle for your account of the events.

If you can't afford a season ticket yet went to most games, you need a serious lesson in money management.

I'm away from Thursday til Monday, do you just know I'm going to be one of the 50!

That £18 Million keeper really is quite shíte. Still, United's spending is nothing like Citeh's. United sell superstars for £80 Million. Citeh buy them.

No. Totally different. I actually respect what SAF has done. Mancini is trying to buy success, rather than build it.

You either watched a different game OR (more likely) you don't know how to judge a performance. He made not one forward pass and at times had space in front of him and he just turned and played the nearest possible pointless pass. Then, immediately after the game I see Adkins say "you can just pass for the sake of it, we don't want that. You have to do something with it." wether that was a dig at JP, I don't know. Fact remains, he was woeful. I was really hopeful when he came back into the fold that he would be like a new signing, but he done exactly as he did when he first came to us. Sort of impress in first few games, then disappear. Quite how you can defend his performance (or lack of it) on Saturday, is beyond me. In a cruising performance, with confidence absolutely sky high, about to enter the Premier League, he still looked sh*t. That tells you something.

I'm with the Turk. I'm totally uncomfortable with Citeh's spending.

Anyone else watching? Starting like a typical high stakes derby...
-
I'm sure he would turn down playing at Old Traffird, Anfield, Emirates, Etihad, Stamford Bridge etc to instead turn out at St Johnstone, Dunfermline, St Mirren & Ross County, just in case Celtic get through two qualifying rounds and make it through to the stage where they again have their pants pulled down.

You really do just ooze class.

I know James too. He is a good lad indeed. Also the Birdman. Another good lad.

90 Degrees then Café Parfait. Schneiderlin & Lambert were rather persistent in vouching their hatred for P*mpey. I am gutted I didn't go out now. A night they shall certainly never forget.

Forest at home was a great game of football. Leeds first game just stunned me and made me question my aspirations for the season. Missed Boro & Brum at home, bloody typical.

We've endeared ourselves to Coventry fans
saintscottofthenortham replied to jawillwill's topic in The Saints
Please do explain, what is a "Northam type"? Would it just so happen that loads of us from the Northam & the Itchen applauded the Coventry fans as we were right next to them and on the day they were an absolute credit to their club and their city, so before I ran off going f*****g mental, I thought I would show a bit of respect and appreciation towards them, as I was shown by Forest fans when we outsung the City Ground on our Relegation Party in 2009.Some people on here really are something else. -
There are 3 quality selections on Saints Player.

Glad to see near on everyone agrees. Saw on a few forums (Man U, Hudders, Wet Sham) the words "Now that is a pitch invasion" or similar. All loved the flare. The same lads had them at Fratton and when 3,000 saints were jumping up and down singing "RLSGM" with the red smoke engulfing the away end, I can ensure you, it was awesome. They did get in a little spot of bother over it down there though.
