Sorry to p!ss on your fire Dulldays but as I stated earlier, I have been a regular corporate customer since the days of the Old Executive Club at the Dell under the West Stand. Not that it matters... just another example of how Cortese doesn't seem to like the idea of Southampton having a history.

'The Executive Club' has been the name of it since when I first started going in there when we were at The Dell. But since SMS has always been Executive Club @ Matt Le Tissier Suite etc etc... just seems strange to me to drop the players names off...

I will give you an opportunity to delete your message Dulldays before posting up various things to once again prove you were wrong. The 'suite names' might still be in relation to the players I guess however... still a bit strange to take the players names off them though.

Wrong. I was in the "Matt Le Tissier Suite" last season. Take this from the Supporters Charter ( lol ) Facilities: corporate hospitality facilities include executive Boxes, the Business club in the matt le tissier Suite. our entry level package is the channon club. in time we will look to introduce and develop a flagship offering that matches our ambitions. That was written in December 2009! MLT Suite has always been the Executive Club @ Matt Le Tissier Suite. Mick Channon Suite has previously been Mick Channon Family Club / Carvery and the Ambassadors Club was known as the Terry Paine Ambassadors Club The supporters themselves named the suites ( I think )

Well whose fault would it be if it was not his? What was the point in the fans going to all the trouble to name the suites ( I am sure it was through the Echo? ) There is absolutely no reason to change the naming of the Suites, none at all... apart from bitterness and resentment maybe. Do you honestly think the club are going to sell more tickets as 1885 Carvery as opposed to Mick Channon Carvery? Or sell more because it's the Executive Club instead of the Matthew Le Tissier Suite?

Bobby Stokes Lounge ( or whatever it was called ) was not so much a suite, I think it was for WAGS and guests of Directors, so wouldn't show up in the Corporate Hospitality

It seems Bobby Stokes, Mick Channon, Matt Le Tissier and Terry Paine have had the honour of having suites names after them removed, as well as the Ambassadors Club for former players being stopped. The Suites are now called... 1885 Club Executive Club The New Carvery Why does the new regime appear to be so reluctant to appreciate our history. Kind of ironic seeing as though they are working so hard plugging the '125th Anniversary Kit'

As someone who was going to get a season ticket on the installment plan and part of a group of 10 lads who were wanting to arrange to go on the pre-season tour, as a direct result of the 'closed doors' policy of SFC now, I have been unable to do either. I do think the communication is shocking, I can see it getting alot lot worse, I do think that Cortese is p!ssing more and more people off day by day, and it would be better as fans we put a stop to it now. You have people who will always tread on egg shells and foolishly think if we upset Cortese then Liebherr will pull the plug, but day by day more and more people are being affected by the 'like it or lump it' attitude of Cortese... as time goes on more and more people will 'lump it' I predict the next f*ck ups on the part of SFC will involve scrapping the Ted Bates Trophy and something to do with memberships. I do genuinely hope I am wrong... but if they are going to be consistent, then that's what I expect.

I think you are missing the point, the club could have announced the training camp weeks/months ago in response to the many people that emailed them. There was nothing stopping them responding to individual enquiries saying " We are going to Interlaken between 8th and 18th July, although no details for matches have been finalised yet " , they didn't even need to publish it, but could have simply answered the question to those that asked. We have been discussing it on here since January. Communication about pretty much everything the club does is done with the very minimal regard to the supporters.

I honestly believe that Cortese either gets a buzz having thousands of people waiting on his every word, or he doesn't believe in a football club having 'fans' and thinks they should just pay their money and shut up ( which of course will never happen ) . There is certainly no welcome mat at the doors of SFC anymore, shame really. Communication-wise the club is an absolute shambles, surely even the most pro-Cortese people can see this?

1)You won't need to buy tickets for pre-season European tour friendlies. 2) The Echo knew where they were going a month ago ( although they said they can't release the details ) There is absolutely no way they could have booked up a resort like Interlaken at short notice, if we didn't have the facility, then another European team would have snapped it up. Yet another example, with pretty much every other one where the club is witholding information from fans which would be of use. The club states it will only publish info through the official site and in a 'timely fashion' - What it really means is " Pay your f*cking money but don't expect anything back from us " No doubt I will get slaughtered for attacking Cortese again by people who had no intention of going on the tour? Annoyed? Yep I am because the clubs actions and deliberate delaying of season tickets and pre-season tour has directly affected me. Diddums me.
