Is Cortese deliberately trying to annoy the fans.
Dave Benson Phillips replied to landford.saint's topic in The Saints
As long as people give a balance view and understand that in a title winning season ( as everyone is expecting ) sales should be up anyway, so anything less than an average of 23/24k is a fail in my opinion. And the real test will be Dagenham and Redbridge, below 10k is going to be a real possibilty. I don't expect like Dulldays to come on here and admit they were wrong you, people have seen from today that he won't put his hands up about the pre-season tour. -

I am genuinely interested if people honestly believe that Cortese is right and the other 91 teams are wrong. Nobody so far has given me a straight answer. :-( -

If this is a way of making more money, why don't the other 91 clubs in the league adopt this strategy? Just playing devils advocate, like. -
Mass rush expected for season tickets tomorrow?
Dave Benson Phillips replied to Liquidshokk's topic in The Saints
Good, we are getting somewhere now. I will say one thing, Sheffield Wednesday are just as ruthless as us when it comes to ticket sells, but forcing people into season tickets. They advertised cheapest adult match tickets at about £25 each when they announced them along with very reasonable season ticket prices, concentrating their advertising on the "Massive Savings to be had from a STH, SAVE £100's" As soon as all the season tickets were sold they dropped the match prices back down to £17 LOL I would be f*cking livid if I had bought a ticket on the back of that marketing, using match prices to justify a Season ticket! -

You said you don't think it is the best financial decision to have STH's, yet 91 out of 92 pro-actively sell season tickets. We are the only ones negatively selling season tickets. That is a fact, not an opinion. Why is this? Serious debate... are they all wrong and we are right? We have 32,000 seats to play with... I am sure we will agree on one thing, that's more than enough to afford 2/3rds STH's and 1/3 for the casual fan? We are in League 1 remember!!!! Having said that, if we were at The Dell then I would indeed agree with you that STH's should not be encouraged. -
As I said previously, if the club are going to be consistant with their " money at any means " policy, they will introduce a membership for away games. Most games are on a sale or return basis so there is no financial risk to the club for not selling the tickets. It will be based on having to be a member or season ticket holder to purchase away tickets, as a security measure, like Stoke for example do. It will be sold as unfortunate but a bid to combat the rise in trouble last season. Expect a booking / admin fee of £20-£30 too. My prediction is already looking more likely, as it seems there is going to be no benefit to a member for League home games.

That's fine. As long as we know they you are just obsessed with talking to an internet persona, that you won't ever have to justify yourself too. I bet you have a Bebo account too, so you can make new friends. I am going to pop you on ignore now Dulldays. You are a tedious internet troll.

Spunking Breath Saint... Will definately be interesting to see how many season ticket holders this year. Dagenham and Redbridge on a November Tuesday night will be the key match. My personal opinion, season tickets will be about 20% down, around the 10k mark. The only proof of this we have so far is someone being told by the ticket office that lots of people have not renewed in the Itchen Centre. With the right marketing, we should have had 20k season tickets. You and Cortese might not thing that 2/3rds of capacity being STH's are sustainable or the best financial decision, but 91 out of 92 clubs do. What you are saying is that you, Dulldays, Nick G and Cortese are right, and 91 other professional football clubs are wrong? OK then. -
Pet hate of mine Benji, you know that, people that large it on a forum, don't actually add anything other than disagreeing and saying things that in reality, are probably not your thoughts, you just like disagreeing with SRS. As for the new name, I changed it because people like yourself where just constantly disagreeing just for the sake of it to get a bite. For the first week, DBP was able to post exactly the same material, in exactly the same way, but got a much more reasoned response, kind of proved my point. I do practice what I preach, I would meet anyone on here for a pint if they disagree with what I say, I will even buy the pint, ask David Luker, or Nick Illingsworth ( who I met a couple of weeks ago after years of calling him a ****le ) It's a pity people can't use this forum to express their real opinion, rather than sniping from their PC, many people have met me by chance or by meet from this forum, and every one of them will vouch that every opinion I give on this forum, be it SFC or non-football related... I back up in the real world.

Do you really, really believe if casual fans were worth more to a club than season ticket holders, the other 91 clubs in the football league wouldn't push season tickets so much? Benji, one very simple question. Simple, 2 choices? Do you believe that SFC are right and season ticket holders are worthless, or do you believe that the other 91 league clubs are right and the season ticket holder is the more valuable to a club? Is... A) SFC right. or B) The other 91 league clubs right. A or B Benji?

If you actually read all my posts with the care of that one, you would have noticed when I first kicked off about the lack of installment plan I didn't need it and could have covered it with savings, then a week or so later I said about an unexpected bill which had to take priority. Is that ok? If you want to know more I will tell you in private, if you can get away from the safety of your PC... which I doubt you will have the spine to do, like Dulldays and Nick G, who just think it is clever to take me on/snipe from behind a PC.

That kind of proves my point.

One for our ladies, What do women look for in a bloke?
Dave Benson Phillips replied to Turkish's topic in The Muppet Show
Turkish likes to pretend he doesn't like me. But we are best friends in real life. I am going to be best man at his civil ceremony when he marrys Julian, his boyfriend. He is on my facebook. -
I am currently working on the setup and implementation of a sales and marketing strategy for a blue-chip company, as they expand their business into a new Industry sector. I have also been involved previously in the setup of various sales channels for another multi-million pound business ( on a more junior level though ) dealing with print and digital advertising specifically. Lastly, I was a membership sales manager for a well known gymnasium in the Southampton area, tasked with creating sales initiatives to drive sales and bring people into the club, through outreach / corporate events and advertising etc. Is that enough for you? Now... come on, be the man, you told me I was talking complete and utter b*llocks about wanting to go on the pre-season tour. Are you man enough to admit you got it wrong?
-
I would be MASSIVELY surprised if the number of season ticket holders is announced on the OS ever. I would also be massively surprised if there is an open fans forum this year so the question can be asked.
-
£15 minimum for a walk to the ground? Is that another Cortese charge? P.S - You still havent commented about my thread in January where I stated I was going to go on the pre-season tour.
-
Due to 2 of your friends not being able to afford it due to lack of installment plan? Correcto?

I don't need chat-up lines, women approach me wanting some Stuey ( I mean Davey ) loving. -
Pick some holes in what I am saying then Timmy? What have I said that is wrong? What doesn't stack up? What do you need me to explain further. If I am wrong, how's about telling me how I am wrong? P.S - I have never worked in telesales xxx
-
Yes, because that is what I will, spill out my whole CV onto a football forum. If anything I have said on there doesn't sound right, question me about it and I will give you some proof, if I can, or at least break it down further so you understand. Still ignoring my link I posted showing me talking about pre-season tour in January I see. ( which is making you look like the troll that you are )
-
It means I am alot more qualified than you to comment on the subject Dulldays. I would never claim to know more about you than Subs, are you saying you know more about me than Sales? Still ignoring my link I posted showing me talking about pre-season tour in January I see.

Mass rush expected for season tickets tomorrow?
Dave Benson Phillips replied to Liquidshokk's topic in The Saints
It might seem like that, generally because I only post on threads that I have an interest in / or know about. I don't post on many threads. You could always join in the debate in a constructive way, telling me if the sales strategy I have shown is wrong, and if so, what is wrong in what I say?
