Weston, you're an old man, surely you can understand that many people who use the stadium car parks, do so because they struggle to walk the fairly long stomp back into town, through age or disability.

Southampton FC will be attending a pre-season training camp in xxxxxxxxx in Switzerland. The dates are from 10th July to 17th July. We will play 2 friendlies during this time on 12th and 17th July, venue and dates to be confirmed. Are you telling me that haven't booked their training base weeks/months ago? All fans require is the date and area of Switzerland, as the friendlies will be in easy reach of the training base. That would allow people to book hotels/flights. Or is this another example of someone who is not affected shouting down someone who had planned to go on the pre-season tour this year and as a result, is affected.

They said it was in Switzerland, no doubt gagged by the club from releasing exact dates and venue, but they stated they knew where and when it was and it was in Switzerland, in the Pink about a month ago.

You are entitled to a refund of your season ticket, for the record.

Nicholas, many people going on a Saints pre-season tour, I know it is absolutely impossible for you to be able to look at something from another persons perspective, but there is absolutely no reason why they couldn't have announced the location of the tour earlier ( Echo have known about it for a month ) . I know alot of people ( including myself and friends ) who were looking to book the pre-season tour as their summer holiday. 2 weeks away and still no announcement from the club means that now effectively nobody can go. Yeah, nice one.

I am correct on the point I am making. It's on the final number of Season Tickets that is yet to be determined, but I think surely we can all agree that SFC could have had many more season ticket holders "if they wanted them" SFC have put in LOADS of measures which would ensure minimal season ticket takeup. There is absolutely no doubt about that, regardless what the number is, they have put absolutely no effort into selling them, on that front, surely you can agree with me?

Last day of season ticket renewals, I fully expect emails, text messages, maybe even a phone call asking me why I have not renewed. Press and radio advertising and massive coverage on the OS. You have serious issues with me, but alongside Dulldays and Matthew Le God, you refuse to actually step out into the real world and justify them face to face ( as I have always proven I am prepared to do ) , if sitting at home on your PC sniping at someones every move from the safety of your laptop gives you some kind of satisfaction then I pity you. All along in this debate I have posted statistics, research, opinions and fact to back up my argument. It is left to petty little boys like you and Dulldays etc to simply shout people down, when clearly you don't have a clue what you are talking about because you never give reason to anything, simply make personal digs or just say "you're wrong" etc etc I have proved on this thread that not a single person has any more examples of Cortese giving a sh!t about fans other than giving a baby a season ticket ( if accompanied by a full paying adult ) lol , and walking out so say hello to people queueing up on his way to his office. It is the blind loyalty and the treading on eggshells that will shape our clubs future, some of the things happening might not be significant now, but wait until next year, the year after, the year after that. Our season ticket prices are the 3rd most expensive, so not sure where you get one of the best in the league.

Can you give me some reasons as to why the decisions that Cortese has made are for the good and benefit of the club? I keep asking people but nobody is willing to pin their colours to the mast. I have made enough predictions that I could fall short on, how about some of you pro-Cortese people stick your head above the parapit?

You would think that Cortese knows more about running a multi million pound football club than the other 91 teams... seeing as though every other one of them clubs encourage season ticket sales.

Absolutely spot on, and that has been proved on this forum. People can say negative things about Cortese and give reasons as to why they feel this way in a constructive way, using statistics, facts and opinions, only to be shouted down bye the people who think we should tread on egg shells, even though they don't know what they are shouting down and can offer nothing to balance the debate. Having a blind loyalty is a very dangerous thing. Luckily this forum represents a minority of Saints fans, and they are almost exclusively in the " I will renew whatever " category. There are many many more fans that are not, and for whatever reason, won't renew.

Which is exactly what will happen. This forum is not a good guage of customer satisfaction, as it is comprised nearly exclusively of the " I will renew whatever the costs " group. There are 3 groups in any type of sales. a) Those that will, regardless. b) Those that might, but need convincing by advertising, marketing, an offer, good value, big signings, good PR etc etc c) Those that won't. The club/Cortese are making absolutely no attempt with those in group B , no advertising, no marketing, no renewal packs, no installment facility, no publicity on the OS, no signings etc etc... they generally seem to think that the people in group b will just turn up and pay their money, which they won't. It is quite a strange tactic by the club, one that no other club that I know of has ever tried. I think that no other club has tried it before for a reason... they know it won't work.

I stand corrected about Sheff Weds having a more expensive ticket than us for their Cat A games, they have amended their ticketing system and dropped the prices last week. So we are now undisputed most expensive match tickets. Am I still a liar Benji?

Pro-Rata as in Sheffield Weds have a Category A ticketing for their local derbies which work out slightly more, but over the course of the season their tickets are cheaper than ours because Cat B and C are alot cheaper. So, you are changing the subject now because you are ranting off without looking at the facts? Proving my point...
