  1. One imagines that there must be raised voices within the FL arguing that they should be made an example of pour encourager les autres. Presumably those sentiments are currently being moderated by a wish to avoid more unpleasantness, but presumably also there has to be a 'last straw' point
  2. Hey. Its what they do
  3. All those P*mpey Dreamers biting their nails as they sit by the phone waiting to learn their P*mpey Fates (TM & Copyright Neil Allen)
  4. I fixed it for you Plus Birch is like the 'straight' man in their double act, which I always find more amusing than the ostentatious caperings of the 'funny' man (AA)
  5. I stand corrected
  6. Re. POL: what he runs there reminds me of a parochial house, Father Ted style. Outdated, festering like Father Jack's favourite armchair & peopled by sad, morally blinkered characters who are actually quite happy as they are. Probably kindest to leave them with their illusions
  7. It might be fun to speculate on what the landlord of said LCS is pulling for him. Fools Gold (4% abv, Four Thorns of York New Brewery) perhaps? Or how about Tick or Cheat (4.0% abv, Buntingford) Or Ship of Fools (6.7% abv, Ramsgate)
  8. The ends of natural justice will be served if they go phut. On the other hand they have, since 2009, been the cause of more hilarity and coffee-ruined keyboards than anyone or anything else I can think of. The fact is that its completely free of charge, has gone on for so long, & looks likely to Carry On* for some time yet. Their almost total inability to understand why everyone else finds their plight so funny is the icing on the cake. Lor' bless 'em * maybe one of our more artistically gifted members could draft a poster for 'Carry On P*mpey'? With the usual suspects of course
  9. Come on lads you can hold out that long, just another 10 days, never mind the blue phew, think how you could become Living Legends for 10's of thousands of Saints
  10. I fixed it for you Job jobbed
  11. I'll take the lego
  12. Permission to be confused? I thought the players were secured via the FC rule before all this happened
  13. wtfiln :D :D :D :D
  14. Seems Gillett chose to walk away from his P*mpey Dream: http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/pompey-to-lose-gillett-1-4108562
  15. Nicely put I've yet to hear PFC mentioned anywhere in the last few years without laughing, which I'm sure won't worry the deluded phew in the slightest In future I should imagine they will be the cautionary tale that mothers tell their offspring, 'ffs don't rip people off, you'll end up like the skates without a pot to p*ss in'
  16. Poetic licence
  17. Courage, mon brave: the pigeons are - however belatedly - coming come to roost. No matter how much they wriggle, they can't escape the fact they have become the laughing stock of the English game and I four one am looking forward to the next fortnight with considerable relish
  18. One might reasonably expect the FL to have something to say about that. There again this is the DFCBS and they don't seem to learn, at least in their current incarnation - gazumping clubs that do spend within their means for the best players is what got them where they are, so for us its win-win - they can carry on as they did before and we can eat popcorn watching it all unravel again, or they can start trying to live within their means and we can enjoy their consequent humiliation
  19. Confucious he say drowning man clutches at straws
  20. whats to hate? what goes around comes around
  21. Yes, but those would be the actions of a club that wasn't permanently entitled to a place at the top table
  22. Brilliant. The one on the bottom right looks handy
  23. Another one that can't understand why the world doesn't revolve around them
  24. From Wikipedia: Narcissism In clinical psychology and psychiatry, an unrealistic, exaggerated, or rigidly held sense of entitlement may be considered a symptom of narcissistic personality disorder, seen in those who 'because of early frustrations...arrogate to themselves the right to demand lifelong reimbursement from fate. (Otto Fenichel, The Psychoanalytic Theory of Neurosis (London 1946) p. 499) That is all
