Right, they do seem to have an extended and consistent record of posturing and shouting the odds, before caving in without further comment. I can't help wondering what they hope to gain from this strategy? Perhaps they think its a case of 'There is no such thing as bad publicity', which of course was how Phineas T. Barnum (19th century American showman and circus owner) justified many of his less salubrious exploits. Not sure it works so well in the modern world though
