First things first, this isn't the usual request for stag do locations! My wife and I are looking to go travelling round Europe by rail at some point in the next year or two before we start a family and so I wondered what places you guys would recommend? We're open to any and all suggestions, we haven't got a specific itinerary in mind as yet and although we have a few places we do want to go, I know there must be tonnes more that we don't even know about yet. Food, culture, history, the natural environment are all things we're interested in... not so much religion or related stuff. Thanks in advance!

With the way the loan window works, it wouldn't surprise me at all if we were looking at more players and if we don't get them by tonight, we'll try for a loan-to-buy deal... it effectively extends the transfer window.

Possibly because it's not funny, but in the interests of education, I believe the reference is to ex-Man U and Leeds striker Lee Sharpe, and the fact that we could have (Tadanari) Lee (Billy) Sharp playing for us... Ho, ho, and indeed: Ho.

One thing we should've learnt under Adkins is that there is no 'best XI'... he does tweak things and plays who he feels is best suited to the game/formation/opposition/tactics. That said, I would suggest Sharp and Lambert will fit most scenarios and it's in midfield that we tend to change more.

Apologies if this is going off on a slight tangent but I was looking up some info about part of Southampton t'other day and some interweb geekery found me a picture on the following website, which I then found to have lots of other good (if slightly trainspottery) photos of some of the disused stations around Southampton, and I found it fascinating to match up places with what they look like now... Some of these go way back before even my folks were born but still interesting IMO: Southampton Docks Southampton Terminus Southampton West (never even knew this existed) My favourite was this one looking towards where Dock Gate 4 is now, Royal Pier just out of shot on the left: I never knew about the old Northam station either, and this being SaintsWeb found some of the pics interesting showing what used to be on the St Mary's site.

In the interests of your own health, can I recommend that those who are likely to get a bit anxious about the slightest tweet mentioning Saints, just go away and do something else for the day? Care to elaborate on what 'everything' is? I've only seen fan conspiracy so far and a need to find an explanation/blame for the fact we haven't signed anyone 'major' yet, because people can't handle the fact that sometimes, despite a clubs best efforts, signings sometimes aren't completed for reasons beyond our control.

I'm still struggling to understand how people can be 'shocked... at our lack of decisive transfer movement' and seemingly cannot accept that sometimes, no matter how much we (NA included) might want a marquee signing of clear intent, sometimes it doesn't happen. What does 'decisive transfer movement' look like? The window is still open, there is still opportunity, but I sense some people are sharpening knives and looking to dish out blame already...
