  1. Based on the assumption that demand for tickets will go up.
  2. I was replying to lordswoodsaints comment about spotty kids with laptops getting priority over him... he may have been joking, I can't tell...!
  3. Can't argue with that The9.
  4. Or have I just had a 'whoosh' moment?
  5. Yeah, damn all these technological advances that are ruining everything. Sorry, somewhat facetious of me, but I don't think it's fair to criticise the club for wanting to improve its infrastructure. As for the spotty kid with a laptop... he doesn't get priority over you. If you want a ticket, you can buy a ticket, but the simple fact of the matter is as we get busier again, the club need effective systems in place to manage things. We all know how poor the current online booking system has been, and the TO system too at times, and the fact that fraud has been an issue for the club in respect of ST's, so I think this is entirely appropriate and welcome.
  6. Right on cue. lol

  8. I'm counting the days until my debt with LTSB is paid off so I can sever my ties with them altogether. Even putting aside any discussions about overall bank performance and bonuses etc, etc, they have changed so much over the years (I've had an account with them for about 25 years now since my Black Horse Young Savers account or whatever it was called), that I simply don't rate them at all nowadays. If I go in to the branch for any kind of discussion, all I actually get is a sales pitch. Staff only care about selling you more products because they're paid partly on commission and the whole idea of providing a good service seems to have been lost. There are some good staff in my local branch, but I mostly use the branch near work and I hate it in there.
  9. To be fair, I think it was only Lewis who said he should/would be sold on, not delldays.
  10. Well forgive me, but I think that sums up your football knowledge more than anything else. The so-called headless chicken that you saw, was IMO, a busy, intelligent player, making good runs, seeking to pull defenders out of position, anticipating play and generally showing a good level of awareness and tactical intelligence. The build-up to the goal alone was a good example. Although Cork's pass to him didn't come off, the way Lee made a quite deliberate run behind his marker, on his blind side, to stretch the play, was excellent. It also then opened up the centre of the pitch for a second runner to perhaps move onto any knock down or secondary pass that might have come from it. Good movement is one of the most dangerous things you can have in your attacking armoury. Lee brings us a lot of it.
  11. Ooh, post 55,555... well done TopGun. (Sorry.)
  12. So Jesus had three sons, two of whom are a bit dodgy too?! (look up Gary and Paul Junior - defrauding the NHS and drugs charges respectively!) And Martin Daniels' showbusiness act is pretty criminal too.
  13. Also done - a couple of questions where my answer didn't directly fit with the options... for example I was neither in favour or against London hosting the games... I was quite ambivalent.
  14. It can continue, it just needs you to ignore those who you think are trying to ruin it. FWIW - I don't consider our country to *be* any particular religion. There will be a majority of people who follow a specific religion and obviously the Royal family do influence things, but I'm an Atheist, and know people with all manner of beliefs, all of whom are British citizens.
  15. No one is saying he will be a Premiership superstar. That would be crazy. But not as crazy as writing him off after barely 100 minutes of football and one very good goal. How have you come to your conclusion Lewis?
  16. Main thing I noticed about it was how early he took the shot... after he set himself, took one touch to the side of the defender barely a foot or so, and then hit it quickly and with such power and accuracy. A stunning strike.
  17. Pretty much all the Royal Colleges, the BMA, the Family Doctor Association... anyone who's anyone in health circles in this country, are either against this bill, calling for it's withdrawal, or outwardly critical of it. Bear in mind that GP's are arguably the ones who stand to make money out of this, by taking on additional roles with local consortia groups, and taking possession of the management budgets for said CCG's, yet 98% of the respondants to the RCGP's most recent survey said they were against the bill or wanted it withdrawn.
  18. Strange thread to resurrect to make that point...?
  19. One of our lads got a nasty injury during the game, Fraser Colmer... tweeted this about it last night: "Got injured in yesterdays match against chelsea. Tendon ripped part of my bone off in my knee and had op last night." Ouch!
  20. Didn't know he had an account, and neither do many others judging by how many followers he's got. Well spotted.
  21. Are any of the posts above actually a serious answer? Intrigued to know what it was about if anyone genuinely knows.
  22. Hooiveld just posted on Twitter: Hahaha, great win and great goal!! I'm coming for you Ricky Lambert haha. Injury is nothing to worry about, precaution. COYR!!
  23. Good to actually score a 'sweeping counter attacking move' after some of the recent (and justified) criticism of us not being incisive enough at times.
  24. Don't overdo the nuns... we don't want their effect to wear off through overuse.
  25. Spud-tastic.
