Noting the police are operationally independent from government Wes Streeting weny on to say: “The prime minister and the home secretary have been very clear that when it comes to the safety of our streets and our communities, we would rather see police on the streets rather than policing tweets. "Now, it's the easiest thing in the world for people to criticise the police, but they are enforcing laws that parliament has passed and asked them to enforce. "So if we haven't got the balance right as parliament, over successive governments, that is something that we need to look at." The "priority" for the home secretary is neighbourhood policing, tackling crime, dealing with antisocial behaviour and drug dealing, and ensuring people "feel safe walking down the streets"

Similar to PIP - there isn’t the provision for these things to explode in numbers. Has to be a mindset change as they cannot be afforded.
-
The management who initiate are rarely around to take the consequences either - so much short-termism in organisations and often lack the wisdom to question the folly (often) of stupid decisions

And if one thing outsourcers are good at it is fleecing the public purse

also these places lose good people as feel no positive future having to ‘do more with less’. Some of the social care recruits would have never got jobs previously so inadvertently de-skilled the sector too. Going to waste billions restructuring it as well with break even date of 2085.

Wes Streeting is doing more to address than previous Health ministers but feels like you don’t do any detail or research widely jsut entrenched view of ‘Labour will always do this… ‘ There are people willing to feed you information that all taxes are wasted always - you like to talk about echo chambers but it doesn’t feel like you get your information and opinions challenged - Saintweb excepted. Honestly it is laughable that you think just by saying inefficiencies you have some sort of solution in asking why are these not addressed. That has been the constant mantra for 20 years. I actually agree it isn’t a case of throwing cash into money pits with no change in approach. But it isn’t simple to address, although no doubt some Tufton Street consultant will suggest cutting out free NHS cancer care to children. Not too far fetched as similar was suggested to Truss when she needlessly broke the economy.

What you are saying is fairly basic - do you think you have come up with some gotcha? You seem to have missed that a key reason Labour were voted in was because many had enough of broken services. They don’t give a fuck about your selfish mates fucking off to Dubai.

Yes and of course huge inefficiencies in public sector but not easy to address as culture is entrenched in many areas. So an austerity example, let’s cut the police budget to flush out all those inefficiencies. What happened. Less police officers, people feeling less safe due to less visibility of the police presence as deterrents. Look the country is broken, remember when you had bobbies on the beat. Fuck, don’t come for my taxes, fund more police by erasing the inefficiencies.

Yeah all so simple to the simple minded. No one has thought of that pal. Well done

Genuine question, do you always think you are the smartest guy in the room? Or do you have moments of self reflection when you actually realise you are as thick as mince?

Good question Football Special. Bollocks are also known as testicles that are two oval shaped organs that are in inside the scrotum. Would you like to know more about scrotums?

Happy with it but been happy with some previous transfer windows and turns out we signed loads of duds. Can’t complain about SR’s approach and lot rests now with manager to create a cohesive team. I’m probably alone with this, but think Aribo could still be a useful asset in this division. Ditto Edozie

Looked very ropey first 2 games and Konate got injured. Just pleased for Palace not getting fucked over by them

What has spoiled deadlines day for me is Sky’s inconsistent blurring of number plates. Did it for Isak but not Wissa.

Without exaggeration that is the most inaccurate table in Christendom

Have Portsmouth bought anyone?

Unlike in the 80s when there where lovely flowers everywhere, beautiful buildings and no crime or litter

They got all shitty with TAA but will welcome Isak. ‘Imagine not being them’

I am dubious about that. Why would a club ever put something like that in writing?

And well served with Turkish barbers on Shirley High st
