Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
whelk replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
Babies are dying everywhere. Are you genuinely upset by this? -
Where have you been? They sing ‘we sing what we want’. Few years back there were moves to get them to drop it they love referring to themselves as Yids so got nowhere. Have you seriously not been aware of this?

Cardiff xG over 4 yesterday. I’d written off this useless bastards but maybe too soon as didn’t seem lucky at all to beat West Ham. Brighton should have had Knockaert sent off in first min. Newcastle offside goal but also quite funny as against Everton
-
PGMOL review all performances and would be good to publish how many decisions in retrospect refs got wrong. Assume there is some threshold when they get relegated to lower leagues? Could have a league table which would probably show Micheal Oliver, Atkinson, Mariner at top and no doubt Attwell, Friend and Mason at bottom

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

A lot of sadness in the world. I’m afraid this one passes me by as something to get upset about. -
Not a moral dilemma but advertising clearly has a purpose and effect. Most of these gambling companies pay fck all tax too as are offshore. Effects of proliferation of gambling recently haven’t truly been uncovered and powerful lobbyists are desperate to not lose all their cash cows as know the power of the addict and how they exploit. However the MP who resigned over recent curbs being slowed down had all the evidence and quite worrying.

Links were definitely true but he wasn’t interested then. Now though he doesn’t know what to do with his money he has so much. America’s Cup and a Swiss team.
-
‘Reality’ being the hypothetical world where results go exactly the opposite way to how they did in ‘reality’?

It’s now in London. Was offered before Liebherr. Interested in Chelsea now although massive Utd fan.

Agree even though I like a bet myself. All marketed as lads having fun but clearly they make fortunes out of the vulnerable and are desperate to attract people in. Imagine a kid watching HT TV ads - probably 90% are saying come and gamble your money. What about Happy Hot Tubs?
-
Owen Hargreaves ‘ you need to get football people on that panel’. Kinda bs Talksport feed off all day long. Fcking simple to understand do not need a masters in punditry
-
He was regularly sh1t but clearly a great talent on his day. The negative slags on here will moan about a player when here, moan after we sold him that we should have kept him, moan that he went too cheap, moan if we keep him that we should have sold a discontented player, moan that we should stand up and make a stance and not sell player. Moan that we should show ambition like every other club who never sell their players...ever. Picking up the trend?

Well done for going against the tide and not siding with all of us who are championing Elyounoussi

‘No amount of education will address the problem?’ Is your solution to ban social media? Somalian immigrants? Or just accept nothing can be done? Suggest looking a little bit further for your information

Has there been crowd trouble at the SheBelieves games? Eng v Japan seems to be being played behind closed doors

Can’t help but love Ajax. Not earmarked for any super league but produce so many good players and great football over the years. Nice to see them back. West Brom got more in tv money last season than Ajax generated in total.

Grudges will eat away at you.

People are missing the point about police cuts. General cuts have eroded youth services and many other well meaning initiatives. Some of the benefits aren’t tangible but help inspire some. Situation is desperate and to me we seem to be following America’s very worrying model. Less tax, everyone greedy to keep their cash and not see it spent on wasteful investment in yobbos but without investment we are helping build a sub culture of disillusionment and hopelessness. The way out is the macho gang culture and the riches they see that come from being a gangster, Might seem dramatic but it was what made us different from the Baltimore corner boys etc as you wouldn’t get away with it here, Police cuts clearly make likelihood of being apprehended more likely. People saying throwing the book at them is so uninformed. Might make them feel better but clearly doesn’t have the desired effect, Worth listening to John MacAvoy - reformed criminal, Types like him speaking the kids and other initiatives is the most powerful counteraction.

why have police at all? seems doesn't matter how many there are as never a consequence of reducing numbers. Oh hang on they brag about putting more police on now. think we are idiots. bit like council tax. cut the fck out of all the services, blame the councils and then boast about how you are supplementing social care by putting a small about back in. give me a tenner, here's £2. Arent you lucky and aren't I generous?

Looks like it's time for the "relegation price 2019" thread.

Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool as 3 of next 5 games. Bleak -
We will probably agree Jonny but shocking the cuts to youth services etc. Tories are culpable for some of this sh1t
-
Indeed but also funny how deflated he was and saying Everton were celebrating the nil nil. Too right they were cos that scuppers the fckers title bid.

The Jodie Chesney case is so desperately sad and makes me despair. Sounds like could be anyone’s daughter and not gangs killing. each other. Crying out ‘help me’ as she died. Don’t think parents could recover from such heartbreak. What sort of cnt wants to stab someone unprovoked?
-
Poor Jürgen. Scousers must be feeling a little flat bless ‘em
-
Agree although Atwell is sh1t generally but if refs were good at spotting shirt tugs and giving them regularly then the players would stop. Smalling is always at it and don’t understand why refs don’t realise, even if reviewing after the game, and start clamping down in future.
