What an interesting summer we are in for...

Whatever, troll. But then you are the person who claims Fox is up to standard, just so you can get a bite. -

Great post. Remind me again how many points we've dropped after taking the lead ? We cant defend for jack-sh*t.. -

In what way does your points make mine a complete irrelevance ? And your comment about disregarding the opposition is nonsense. Our record in the flip-fixtures for the last 3 games is lost 2, drew 1. And Glasgow points out that the results against the teams around us are poor. Our team has proved it can mix it with the best the league has to offer, but cannot get results against well-organised physical fighting teams. -

I dont think I have. We didnt do enough on our defence last season, I am wondering if the committee are now satisfied by the evidence of their own eyes. -

Well, this summer it seems particularly pertinent. This squad has worked miracles over the last 3 years. But it needs rejuvenation now. And dodgy young S. Americans with unquestionable talent, but very questionable robustness and endurance, arent the solution. -

How about you address the issue ? -
Its a fair argument, but I would counter argument with a simple statement : Sunderland at home - WTF happened there ? NA got the build-up to that completely wrong, imo. We were on a bit of a roll, and that happened. Almost a sackable offence in itself (in fact, it may well have turned out to be so)

"A bad day at the office", you reckon? Are you deliberately ignoring Glasgows perfectly good piece of analysis about how sh*te our record is against the teams around us, and have you failed to notice that 2 of our last 3 games are against such teams ? -
A team built largely in League 1 looks likely to scrape survival in the Premier League. But make no mistakes, some massive re-building is called for, in fact is being screamed for. We potentially need 3 or 4 defenders, possibly a winger, possibly a striker. And it needs to be quality. And on this occasion I would argue that it needs PL experience, rather than some cheapo foreign rabbit-out-of-the-hat. I wonder how (and more importantly, when) we will start setting our stall out in the transfer market. Last summer was a cluster-f*ck, but at least a partial explanation was inherent uncertainty over the managers position. We are now led to believe that NC has his man. Lets see what happens...
-
Glasgow has it right, everyone has got carried away and ahead of themselves. Perhaps NA would have been better for the slug-fest we are facing now over the last 3 games. However, if it werent for MP we might well have already been relegated since the Chelsea, ManC and Liverpool results might not have happened.

All fart and no sh*t, with the occasional goal. Has frequently appeared to me to be a headless chicken. Has he learnt to take a corner properly yet ?
-
I voted for St Chalet, because I have reasonable contact with him (though the git just infracted me..)
-
And considering 2 of our last 3 games are against such mid-table mediocrity as these, and the third is against a team trying to secure Champions League football, we should be very worried, because I can see us not picking up any more points at all. Suffice to say we are in our usual fall-over-the-finish line mode, briefly interrupted by the promotion from League 1 season. That "Champions League next season" cr*p during the wek did not help focussing the players.
-
If we're very good, and very, very lucky. I have NO faith in this management, or countless previous management line-ups, in actually addressing the issue of the players we need. Need a defence ? Go and spend 12m on a dodgy S. American midfielder...

Yes, but in this case it felt warranted. I am sure I will be infracted, and I deserve it, but the sheer arrogant stupidity going on around here defies belief. -

Pros Couldnt give a sh*t about the Europa League / Fair play thing - if we do survive this season, that would have surely killed us next season. Fox's last game for Saints, without a doubt. Hopefully Ramirez's too. Cons After the way we turned our season around, disappointing that Spurs have potentially baled (pun intended) out. -
Classic case of "shoot the messenger"
-
Yep. Good riddance.
-
Ramirez should go. He hasnt made a 12million contribution this season, and now hes unavailable for the rest of the season. Get rid. All fart and no sh*t. Waste of money.
-
Enjoying a rare period of reasonable contentment, with little to say. But this week has been f**king ridiculous, what with all the talk of conquering Europe next season.
-
Last 3 games are against 2 fellow teams scrapping for survival, and a Spurs team who need to get a grip on a CL spot seeing as they are losing today. We....are.....f*cked. Depending on the likes of Villa to f*ck up...
-
Massive work to be done in the summer. If we get the chance to do it...
-
All those points we've lost because of Fox are going to haunt us big time.
-
Superb. What a time to do it. We are left keeping our fingers crossed that our fellow relegation contenders screw up their run-ins.... Defence needs a massive overall over the summer. Sod hitting the ground running early in the summer, our managmenet should already be making approaches NOW
