Then we only have to slip-up against one of the other two teams and we are out. Considering how invariably f**king awful we are usually in the first game, I would expect us to fail to qualify from the group stage.

And for my part, I apologise. The stubborn streak in me has a problem letting it go when I think my viewpoint, although obviously not in step with the majority thinking, gets abused and labelled as "trolling". I have been quite worried about the sequence of 4 games that started today, I think it will have a big impact on our final standing in May, hence my "make or break" thread from earlier this week, and I am disappointed with how it started. It sounds like we were by far the better team and deserved the points (if one can say that when actually we havent secured them..), but we didnt get them. I see this as a potential repeating pattern.

I have a perfectly good explanation, but I am struggling to understand why I must justify my opinion to you and the rest of the site. I will be watching the Reading game, I took a susbcription out on an Austrian sat channel that shows NPC games. I saw the Leeds game and arranged my time to be free to watch the Brum game until it was moved. I also came over to watch the Millwal game. In addition, I was watching Millwall on a dodgy free stream last season at the beginning and my PC picked up a virus somehow, so I am a bit sceptical about these feeds nowadays.

Nope, not trying to draw that conclusion at all. I am saying we are not getting critical results which we need for a sustained go at promotion. Anyway, what constitutes "playing well" is subjective. Although most people view it as pretty tippy-tappy, that isnt my definition.

I am looking at it in the slightly bigger picture of the results against Cardiff and Leicester as well.

I am as delighted as anyone that we got promoted, and that we were sitting pretty at the top of the table 2 points clear at the international break. What you, and everyone else slagging me off seem reticent to realise, is that : - Our away form is poor; if we cant expect to win every game, it also seems unrealistic to expect us to win every home game too, which means we will go below 2pts per game - We dont seem to be able to get results over the other teams that will be there or thereabouts fighting with us for promotion - That having had such a great start, it is perfectly reasonable to adjust expectations upwards from being thankful if we can hold down our place in the Championship. I would have been happy in August with mid-table mediocrity, but considering the vibe going on at the club nowadays, conceding goals 3 mins in is a major let-down.

Why are you so bigotted that you cant possibly accept that its my genuine-held opinion ? A large number of you were banging on in the first half about us playing fantastic. The return we got for that play was an equaliser, nothing more. If we were so great, we should have scored again after equallising, shouldnt we ? Add to the fact we conceded within 3 minutes, and I simply dont get how anybody cannot conclude that we dropped 2 points.

and so it proved. We apparently "dominated" the game and because of starting off half-comatose, we dropped 2 points. I dont call that a result considering our perceived level of dominance. Its not like we mugged them of a point, is it ?

Erm, no, you cant. I didnt read anywhere in the T & Cs of this site, specifically post-match reactions, that only positive comments were permitted. I feel 2 points were dropped. Deal with it.
