We got clobbered by 10cm of snow yesterday. At least a month early. I too am worried about the ferocity of this upcoming winter.

RIP, little one... There was a debate on here last week about respecting an Amazonian Indian custom of burying disabled babies alive due to a belief that disability is a sign of occupation by evil spirits. Those of us against this were accused of arrogance and imposing our value set on other cultures. So what do we feel today about Chinese culture and the fact that the life of the individual means so f**king little, 20-odd people can walk by a knocked down toddler AND another truck can run over her ? Should be chanting "Vive la Difference" about this too ?

So, the world is getting warmer, as it has done several times for hundreds of thousands of years at a time, during the life of the Earth. So....what ? Where is the evidence it is man-made ? Oh, and just to point out that : one volcanic eruption chucks out the equivalent of years of man-made greenhouse gases. the UK contributes less than 2% of man-made greenhouse emission. So Lib-Dem hand-wringing green taxes causing so much misery to families and old people are doing f**k-all good whilst China, India and the US keep sticking up the proverbial middle finger to the green cause anyway... Keep building your wind-farms, if you must...

Hope NA doesnt rest on his laurels and keeps working on the defence. Seems Fox and Hooiveld have now really come good, we need to build up Fonte's confidence a bit, maybe. We'd already be out-of-sight to the pack apart from a few little errors from them. I am sure he will stay on the ball.
