  1. Good News. The penny has dropped, it seems. Fingers crossed we can hold our ground with the top 6 until the transfer window opens.
  2. No it doesnt. SDR has put his case to start back tonight Forte is no back-up forward for Rickie, an off-form Connolly and a distracted Barnard Butterfield hasnt challenged Richardson's place EDIT: Beginning to feel like another clear-out is overdue.
  3. As has been said a few times, it was clear in advance we would be fielding a weakened team. And its not like anyone has trouble getting tickets for home matches, is it ? How often do we sell out ? Its not like tonight was a scarce chance to get the see the team for any non-ST holders or something..
  4. I agree, but it does suggest we dont have the squad depth that everyone supposes we do. A 46-game season is a long season...
  5. Oh dear. I see the site's Tourette's sufferer has turned up...
  6. Most of those players you have identified, and the rest, should have had more hunger and motivation to demonstrate their worth. I dont believe they are all genuinely ****, in fact the 16 year old should probably be reasonably happy with his contribution tonight.
  7. It isnt and you are absolutely right. We should be doing better away from home in order to sustain our momentum. This "we still averaging 2 points per game" mentality is appalingly complacent.
  8. Yep, the message from tonight for NA must be that he hasnt got as much squad depth as everyone likes to think he has.
  9. Christ, you've become such a boring toadying sycophant. Are you waiting for your SaintsList invite to come through ? If you dont like the fact that a diverse tone of comments are posted here after a disappointing result, do us all a favour and be more selective about when you log on.
  10. I think those on here that feel the need to go into Immediate Damage Limitation Mode after a result like this are just as daft as the Its the End of The World brigade... Losing matches should be taken note of and lessons learned, not blithely disregarded.
  11. Mixed emotions. Couldnt give a shiny one about the League Cup. Desperately worried about our ability to get up for away matches, and the fact that several players on the fringes didnt do more to sell themselves to the manager tonight. Are things getting too cosy down at SMS at the moment ???
  12. That's a f**king bloke..
  13. Great to see Barnard back
  14. Sounds Lallana is close, would be good if he is back for Boro. As for Barnard, well we cant keep the momentum of our campaign going with only one in-form striker, so this is becoming a wee bit desperate...
  15. Is RCFG as catchy as CMFG ?
  16. And a good piece it was too. However, it was sod-all to do with climate change, global warming and their causes. People will do something about energy consumption when it starts hitting them in the back pocket and affecting their standard of living. Climate change is only a secondary consideration.
  17. I think so too. A pity the two that were disallowed didnt stand, otherwise we could probably claim to be the only team to hit 8 past them ever.
  18. An excellent summary. Some serious soul-searching about how up we are for away games, I think.
  19. Been a McDonalds for years.
  20. Are there ANY pubs left in Swaything/Bassett any more ? The Stoneham Arms, the Hogshead, and thats about it.
  21. Its in the echo online today. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/9320738.Murty_predicts_Championship_classic/?ref=mr I'm OK with it, he clearly had divided loyalties today.
  22. Of course they will
