Great post. Lowe has failed the club, us, AND himself. This was possibly his most crass ego-fulled decision EVER. Never let it be said again that this man is an astute businessman.
-
What's really amazing is how utterly devoid of humour you are.

Pompey have a management board that want to retain their footballing status. We have a management board who care only about the bottom line. That's the difference. Is this still in doubt in anyones mind, FFS ???

http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4110800.Matt_Le_Tissier_joins_hospital_superbug_war/ Surely if he can fight against millions of awkward little buggers such as MRSA and c-difficile, he can fight against two less awkward but big buggers such as Lowe and The Quisling ?

More stuff from PR Central.... He didnt offer him a decent contract because : 1. He didnt know he'd be any good. So what ? If he'd still been in charge last summer, Pearson would have got a decent contract. How bizarre you criticise Crouch for this behaviour when you would have applauded its "prudence" if Lowe had done it... 2. He thought relegation was touch-and-go, and with his clear awarness of our developing financial crisis (you know, the one you are so certain he was c lueless about ) and did not know if we could afford his wages next season. Again, the irony here is that the the likes of you and nickh would have tossed off if Lowe had exhibited such "prudence" Why cant you admit you are not on the fence at all ?

Strange, I thought I admitted to being wrong over Saga and the aggregate score over the Reading and Manyoo games, but there you go, when someone who is illiterate is in full hysterical and irrational flow, I suppose there is no stopping them...

Wow, arent we the little jumped-up, self-appointed barrack room lawyer ?

Superb effort, but lets got through and take this bolllocks apart, point-by-point.. I dont come on here "bragging & claiming", but if someone posts "you dont know what you are talking about", "you talk out of your arse", etc., etc., I reserve the right to defend myself and cite evidence to the contrary, and you have little right to be in uproar about that. Re: the play-offs. We sneaked in by the skin of our teeth, into the last place in the last game, because Preston bottled it, despite having spent a fortune for this level on our team. Oh, and then we played crap to put us behind in the playoff, then threw it away with ****e penalty-taker selection after fighting our way back into the fixture. We got so far in spite of Burley, not because of him, and I wasnt that far away from being correct, in that that season was a colossal underachievement. Re: Anyone but Burley could do better. Anyone who had the faintest clue about what they were doing (Pearson) did do better than Burley last season. Anyone who doesnt have the foggiest (Dodd & Gorman, Wotte & Poortvillet) hasnt done better. We had the chance to get the likes of Billy Davies and Ian Dowie, proven achievers at this level, and went instead for clueless diickheads. Sorry, you want to present my comments against me as a black-and-white fait accompli, which it isnt. Never mind, its a common mistake made by those of limited intellect.

Where do you spend your time talking out of it then ?

"Other angles" being a non-entity known as "mynameisthehulk" Wow.. Still smarting from your smart-arse comment about Pulis and Gasmi not costing us money blowing up in your face, eh ??

Pity you ended up being both then, isnt it ??? Oh, and I stand by my opinion on administration, whether you think it "retarded" or not.......

Did BWP & McGoldrick attack a Saints fan?
alpine_saint replied to StuRomseySaint's topic in The Saints
Ponty, I would like to apologise for my comments. You are often sarcastic, but the comment that paritcularly irritated me this week was made by another mod whose name begins with "P". I mixed you up, and am sorry. The rest of your post about this alleged incident I still disagree with. -
Nope, sorry, the old "clock stopped / right twice a day" axiom is not relevant here. I have made specific predictions and observations. The only things I have got wrong this season was expecting us to conceed 10 goals between the Reading and ManU games, and that Saga would be gone in the Jan window, and that was only prevented by a rule about the number of clubs you can play for in one season. I said back in August that this season would pan out like this, and I came close to being right about last season too. I was one of the first to demand Burley be removed, I said months ago Killer would never play for us again and I indicated that Schniderlin was a lightweight and wouldnt deliver, amongst other things..

Make a point, somewhen, and I will counter it with complete ease. You havent made one yet apart from post insults.

Wait a minute before you get all huffy. I qualified my statement. I wrote "recently". I also noted your right to free speech. I am being straight with you here - you've posted quite a few sarcastic one-liners the past couple of weeks, and not directed necessarily at me. I dont know what you're problem is at the moment. I hope it is a transient period. -
Perhaps everybody is just completely fed-up and exhausted of having this bolllocks season-in, season-out for most of their adult lives...

Did BWP & McGoldrick attack a Saints fan?

My ex-neighbour in Sholing had a right pop at James Beattie in Dock Gate 4 one Saturday night for the same reason. Beattie replied "My goals have kept you up in recent seasons". Note the use of "you" instead of "us", which my neighbour went to great lengths to point out to me when telling the story. -

Good post. I have become somewhat weary of Ponty's recent antagonistic approach too. Seeing as he is a mod, it strikes me as being abuse-of-position. But I suppose he would just point out he has a right of free speech too. I personally think if Saints players strut about Southampton in the evening at the weekend like they are king shiit, looking down their noses at everybody but actually have just contributed to an utterly dire team performance with an utterly crap one of their own, they deserve a bit of mouth. I once had a right pop at Simon Charlton in New York, New York one Saturday night in the mid-90's for exactly the same reason. Bouncer told me he agreed with what I said because he has also seen the match that afternoon, but I had to cool it or he'd throw me out nevertheless... -
Just read on a football but non-Saints site that there is a rumour doing the rounds in the city that the 23rd is the "magical" date..

This is the end for BWP if true. And I would also argue it needs to be the end for McG. How arrogant are they if they can think they can go out in Soton, and the way they are playing that they wont get any comments ? -
Of course I dont, depsite the fact that I am right a damn sight more often than the likes of you. And how you came to your second Word of God, I'll never know. You are obviously one of these so sad dweebs who thnk they can judge everything down to shoe size from what someone writes on a chat site... I suppose I should be grateful of you being tolerant and patient for soooo long...
