So, on award night last season Boruc made a joke about the lack of competition and when it arrives he does this...? I love him as a player and the character he is but that seems a bit ott for me. Koeman had pretty much an impossible situation cause Forster wouldn´t come if he wasn´t guaranteed the first spot imo and Boruc is 35 next year when his contract ends so we really need to get a new one in. Even if we would´ve gone for a 2nd choice now it would probably cost £4-5m and then we´d have the same problem next summer...

Well all signings dont need to take Long time as we can see by this but maybe people on this board will learn why some transfers take Long time while some others dont. This is a situation based signing. Yes we´ve tried to get others in, they haven´t come off and now we need to find someone decent who can do a job for us, and Long isn´t the most exciting name but can defenitely be decent enough for us in this situation. The price is inflated yes but this summer shows that the market is crazy and we´ve reaped more from it to be fair.... Guan said very early in the summer that he thought we were aiming to high with our targets and it seems he´s right on that one...
