Whatever might make someone think that?
-
LOLZ. Think about how much that will cost, Neil. Who's going to pay those legal fees?
-
Sorry, yeah. He has a charge over fixed and floating assets of PFC(2010) Ltd - these include Fatpipe Park, the kit, the training equipment, the chairs in the executive lounges, the microwaves, the lawnmowers. Everything, pretty much.
-
The trust will have to offer Chinny more than he would get from liquidation. Bear in mind that Chinny can buy the assets of the club, including Fatpipe Park, for 1p more than anyone else and that whatever he pays will be redirected to him, minus PKF fees.
-
As far as the CVA is concerned, the players were unsecured creditors. The only security they had was not in law, rather in the Football Creditors Rule.
-
Well, the Trust can't do anything without reaching an agreement with Chinny in relation to his charges over the club so kind of, yes.
-
They're secured creditors, so no.
-
The trust have 48 hours to formalise their bid and show proof of funds or the club are fed into the blender?
-
Of course, the whole question of whether the PST have to get a new CVA agreed is irrelevant because they don't have any money.
-
But CVA proposal from Birch, using Portpin's money, has been agreed by the creditors. Does it matter if the same proposal is funded by the PST? I don't know. If it does then they are truly, truly screwed. No takeover or exit from admin could realistically happen before the end of September...
-
If the Trust were to meet or exceed the terms of Portpin's CVA proposal? It's the CVA proposal that the creditors vote on, not an agreement to purchase the club.
-
After not getting the loan, you mean I don't know about the cooling off period. I don't know if it's a legal requirement or something requested by Chinny or Trev. I don't even know whether any Trust bid would have to be put to the creditors given their proposed repayments to creditors in a CVA are more than Portpin's. I do know that it's an utter mess though.

One of the conditions of the PCC loan was that the PL agreed to repay the loan directly to the PCC from the PPs. Now, that can only be done by the "owner" of the club (currently Birchy, as Admin). Birchy won't do that as he's already promised it to the players. If the PST were to become owners of the club they could instruct the PL to pay the PPs to the PCC and then worrry about the players later. Trouble is, they can't become owners without the loan from the PCC, and they can't get the loan unless they're the owners. Joseph Heller had a theory on this.
-
ALL of it? The "compromise" deals and associated fees totalled £12m? As I suspected, the braves heroes who gave up their contracts to save the club (whilst signing new contracts at other clubs) really didn't give up very much at all, did they? LEGENDS.
-
Pompey mongs on twitter getting really, really excited about the prospect of PST ownership now. It's shame it's highly unlikely to happen because I have to agree with them - the PST taking over would be all kinds of awesome.
-
Oh yeah, forgot about them. I wonder how many of the bestest will turn up at the gates of the PAOK training ground to ask their former ticket office manager to kiss goodbye to more cash?
-
I suspect this may be more brinkmanship from Chinny. Expect a statement later along the lines of Alternatively, Chinny sees a greater return by handing the ground to the Trust or via liquidation. I don't care which.
-
Now for the really funny bit - the trust have to get the "bestest fans in the world" to convert their pledges into real, actually money. All 1600 of them.
-
Take a look at selling it via Amazon Marketplace. You'll get more there than on EBay and, in my experience, there are far fewer scammers there. Desire HDs are selling there (used) for £149.99 upwards.

Ability over Abundance?

I'd be interested if "pfcbutton" could give us rough figures on how much each of these fraudsters and spivs "robbed". The only people to have actually taken more money out of PFC than they put in are the players, agents, Storrie, Harry and Mad Milan. He doesn't think that Sacha, Chanrai, Al-Faraj(!), Bin-Tramp, Antonov, Dubov et al actually took money* out of Pompey, does he? * Other than a little bit of freshly laundered cash, of course.
