Well if he takes over now he can reduce the secured debt by about £3m by trousering the cash that's reportedly idle in the clubs current account. Might be enough to satisfy the FL...
-
The could only do that if Pompey hadn't paid any tax due since going into Admin. Surely, surely, with all their history and Birch's profession he would have ensured that HMRC were the first (if only) people to paid on time. I should have learned by now never to say never, but I can't beleive they'd have given HMRC the chance to kick them again. Surely.

That's not "reading between the lines" Nick, that's "making stuff up". Nowhere is there any suggestion that the points deduction condition has been removed.
-
Great stuff Adrian, really top notch
-
Agreed. I propose a boycott until he resigns.
-
Maybe he needs another court case to keep him entertained. It's been far too long since PFC were last in court although I have a feeling he won't have to wait that much longer...
-
Indeed.

You suit each other.

So what's going on? A) TB/PST are in dialogue with Portpin regarding an acceptable purchase price for Fatpipe Park and are trying to get them to drop their asking price by £5m, or B) TB/PST are in dialogue with Portpin regarding renting Fatpipe Park, even though there's no provision on the PST projection for this, or C) TB/PST are being ignored by Portpin. At the same time: 1) PST/PCC are trying to get the PL to agree to direct PPs direct to the PCC, even though Birchy has promised them to the former players, and 2) PST are trying to get the players to agree to a 75% reduction in what they agreed with Birchy just weeks ago, and 3) The PST are trying to get more pledges AND working how on earth they can get existing pledges converting into real cash, and 4) Birchy is racking up more fees, and 5) They're spunking what little cash they have on legends-in-the-making McLeod, Howard, Dumbaya et al and 6) Chanrai and Birchy are doing the maths to work out the best time to press the big red button marked "Liquidate", and 7) The Fatpipe Park clock still isn't working. So really, all is going swimmingly down there.

Skate: "....so I'll give you 40p." I'm wrriten a letter in disgust.

Trust me, so do we.

I expect a response along the lines of

Anyone know what mechanisms are available to creditors now to push the administrator to liquidate if they deem it to be in their interests?
-
Christ, this isn't even news. We knew this before the council even met to vote - it was in the council's own proposal document
-
I see that the signings of these 10 are still not completed and are subject to FA and FL approval...
-
I think they mean "a miniscule portion". Oh, so when the News told everyone yesterday that the courts could force Chinny to accept far less that £8m for Fratton and quoted some spurious valuation of around £2m, it was bullturd? Who'd have thought it?
-
So Trevor has given the green light for these non-contract signings, but have the FL? The timing is very interesting, given that the FL are meeting today...
-
I'd prefer Zara Phillips, tbh.
-
I guess the questions are: Why have the FL imposed an "embargo" on them? What are the conditions of this "embargo"? What is required for it to be lifted? The other questions are: Are the currently holders of a FL Golden Share? If not, how can they play on Saturday? If they are, why have they not yet been deducted 10 points? If the deduction will occur when they exit Admin, what's to stop them staying in Admin all season?
-
Well, given the club is awash with cash which would fall nicely into Chinny's pocket in the event of liquidation (plus all the assets, minus fees) that option becomes far more attractive...
-
Erm, how is there £3m in the club accounts now?
