  1. That's ace. Sometimes TB cracks me up.
  2. Seems to perfectly fit and proper for them.
  3. By the way, is there any evidence that Portpin had "previously agreed" a budget of £4m is that utter bullcrap too?
  4. Excellent, so now Neil is going to make up a list of names of players certainly, definitely, would have signed for Pompey but for nasty Portpin and their insistence on not injecting vast amounts of cash to allow them to sign players way out of their league. This list will be made up (quite literally) of players who will now sign for Championship clubs and would not look at Pompey for longer than it takes to say "No".
  5. Ironically, from the freeze frame at the beginning it looks like it's going to be an advert. "I unexpectedly lost over half my player budget and had deffered wage payments coming out of my ears. I didn't know what I was going to do until I spoke to Ocean Finance..."
  6. Won't be Birchy though, it'll be the next guy off the Administrator rank that the council have built on Frogmore Rd. In fact, should PST take over we could start we sweepstake on who the next IP firm will be called in. http://www.accountancyage.com/static/top50-this-year I'm going to pick MHA MacIntyre Hudson.
  7. Nope. Once a sale is complete, he's done and dusted.
  8. Au contraire, Guy - it's been a lovely time for us.
  9. Nice way of getting the idiot skates on his side and applying a bit of pressure on Trev on his behalf. I'm impressed.
  10. It is, but I would not be at all surprised if they forfeit it. Edit - it's actually Tuesday, as Saint Si says.
  11. 2-1 according to their O/S. The start of the official report is good too: Much like their line up for next Saturday. Only without the trialists. WTFILN?
  12. This is definitely good news for the skates - Chanrai is trying to squeeze as much as he can from Birch/PFK so that he can maximise the amount he can give to Appy for transfer fees and wages to fund their promotion bid. Right?
  13. Seems that rental prices in Earlsfield and Southfields have gone up too. We used to pay £950 for a 2 bed on Treport St in Earlsfield (up by the Old Sergeant) and then £1150 for a cracking 2 bed in Southfields on Burr Rd (overlooking King George's Park and with a roof terrace. That place was ace) but doesn't sound like we'd get much now. And by the way OP, if you can up your budget and want to live in Richmond, we're letting our flat soon. You might have to find someone to share with though...
  14. Wrong decision. Getting the overground trains into Waterloo are approx. 7.3 times better than getting the picadilly/central to Holborn. I used to live in Earslfield (towards the top of Garrett Lane) and got the overland. Then I moved across into Southfields and had the option of the train from Earlsfield or District from Southfields. The train was quicker and more reliable. I now live in Richmond and get the overland into Waterloo and walk across to Holborn. It's quicker and much, much less hassle than messing with the tube, especially on the way home from work. The walk across the bridge is quite pleasant and I only spend 20 mins on the train itself. Don't discount using the overland train network. The tube is crap.
  15. It's beyond belief that they think Chinny is going to give them a crap-load of cash to spend.
  16. PPs are made twice a year, in Feb and August, we know that much from previous shennaigans.
  17. Chinny still his charge over FP and he can refuse to relinquish that until paid in full. The golden share will also only be granted by the FL is Chinny agrees to reduce the level of his secured debt. Unless Chinny agrees, this bid goes nowhere and leaves 2 choices for Birch: Portpin or liquidation.
  18. The council are taking no risk whatsoever. The PST bid is going nowhere anyway, so they can promise to loan them £1.45m on any terms imaginable, the PST are never going to need it. Edit - Andy
  19. It's something we can do if the owners/administrator agrees. That's an agreement in principle. Doesn't mean it's going to happen. Regardless, all this is a waste of council time as Chinny won't sell for the amount the PST are proposing to offer him.
  20. Not now, surely.
  21. Why would anyone do that? There's a hefty handful of clubs in the Championship and League One that are far, far, far more attractive to any potential investor than Pompey.
  22. Some people enjoy being bummed, hard, by swarthy foreign types.
  23. Already TBH is being given "Legend" status on twitter
  24. It's almost like they just plucked some numbers out of thin air and are making the rest up as they go along. Surely not!
