I don't think it's THAT much, but given this is Pompey, you never know...
-
Nice "slip of the tongue" to make the local idiots think they're signing an international keeper, rather than a sunday league one...
-
Could still be Tommy....
-
I must have missed this - are they doing the same thing as last year with Zebra finance for the STs?
-
I assume so - you wouldn't catch me going in there by choice.

Check out the cashback sites like TopCashBAck and Quidco as they often have a small % cashback on online purchases with the train operators such as SWT. It's often not really worth it for everyday purchases but if you're buying monthly or annual season tickets, that 2.5% cashback will buy you a good few beers...

It was there about 45 minutes ago when I walked past.

In a quirk of fate, our holiday hire car last week was a VW Golf and, my god, what a box of spanners it was. Admittedly it was a low-spec model but the interior was cheap and plasticy, the ride and handling were soft and woolly and it felt like I was driving exactly what it is - a fairly small family hatchback. Contrast that with the feeling of driving a much bigger car my 1-er gives and I know I made the right choice when buying last year.

I've been mulling this over too. I've decided he's some sort of simpleton. He looks like one. Sorry Neil.

So the FL are sticking to their guns and not allowing Pompey to sign any players, in accordance with clear FL rules. Is THIS the way they're going to kill them? If they can't sign players, they can't fulfill their fixtures. If they can't fulfill their fixtures, they're out of the league. Might be a less messy way for the the FL to kill them than use rules that don't yet exist in relation to their financial situation.

Seems like Matt Scott has been avid reader of this thread for the past few weeks. Hi Matt

Excellent - this is sure to split the creditors votes, possibly to the point where both are rejected

The squeals of outrage when Osbourne dropped the entirely counter-productive 50% tax rate told most of us all we need to know about the likely reaction to any plans for a flat tax rate.

He's a big improvement on Kenny, at least

I don't suppose the CVA proposal is 2% less costs, is it?
-
Isn't it a shame that the players they'd have liked to keep have left and those they'd like to get rid of are still there? Anyway.... True. Not true.
-
All the more reason to listen to the biggest few/one. As we worked out, 2% of 20% after everyone's expenses is such a pathetic amount that there's a solid argument that the 'best deal' is to vote against. Better than I as well

Fixed.

The man seems to be rather deluded. I'm a little worried about him, truth be told.
-
The biggest of these creditors are HMRC, don't forget...
-
He didn'y say that he didn't expect an objection from HMRC, just that he doesn't fear it - ie, it won't stop the CVA.

Was this "expert in football finance" called Trevor Birch, by any chance?
-
It's what they designed this for.
