  1. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Says on twitter he's hoping for a name by the end of the day. Would love it to be Lamela but. Maybe a tad unrealistic saddly!
  2. "@olliehoghton17 @reluctantnicko When will you be able to tell #saintsfc fans more about the Cortese in Italy story?" "@reluctantnicko @olliehoghton17 When I find out where he is in Italy..." Seems to me he's heard a) we're scouting in Europe b) we're looking to get our business done early c) we're looking to spend a bit of cash. Not sure he knows much that we don't already know on this one!!
  3. Sorry typo - I meant 2012/13. Within the club perhaps they wanted more than just survival, but if there was a poll on here back in August asking would you take 17th I'm sure the majority would've said yes. Had we far exceeded those expectations this year then fair enough, but whether we finish 10th or 17th I think most would agree that we've performed well in Premiership without truly excelling.
  4. I was referring to our expectations for the 2013/14 season which were to survive... If you had read it properly then you probably wouldve realised that. I can try and make it more explicit in the future if that would be easier for you?
  5. It's an achievement yes, but only an achievement in line with our expectations. Unlike some on this forum, I'm pleased with how the team has progressed this year, but equally we've played to a similar standard to the majority of other teams in the Premiership and I don't see them throwing pitch partys to celebrate relative mediocrity. A pitch invasion this year would just undermine celebrations for any future success.
  6. Never seen any other clubs invade the pitch for a lower mid table finish. Given the clubs obvious ambition, I'd be slightly embarrassed if fans start running on at the end of the game. Why not save it for a proper achievement as we have done in previous seasons?
  7. Its never easy to know how to keep the kids entertained during the holidays,so I thought Id pass on a recommendation from a friend of mine who was very impressed with a multi sport coaching course that they tried last Easter. Apparently their kids had a fantastic time on the week, playign some cricket in the mornings and then onto football in the afternoons. The company is called Forward Drive Coaching and after a quick google I found their site (http://www.forwarddrivecoaching.co.uk). They're running another similar course in the half term break so I sent them an email about the course and they said that their numbers look good and that a coach from the Saints Foundation will be running the football side of things this time. Has anyone else had any experience of their coaching weeks?
  8. Was sure I read that you could go but I couldn't find anything on the website about it
  9. I noticed the game was at St Marys. Does anyone know if its possible to go and watch?
  10. Yeah, I reckon League 1 was relatively unsuccessful for us as well.
  11. Villa, QPR, and Wigan. Wouldnt be suprised if Norwich/Reading are close though. Readings home fixtures have to be a big advantage for them though, 10+ points from those 4 games would be enough to keep them up
